IMO you can never dim blue lights enough at night. They look nice, but if I was a professional driver that ran at night alot, the blue would definitely out of the question. I have found red to be really easy on the eyes at night. The chrome Cobras perform really well, but unless you can stand blazing blue lights, I'd reconsider.. As for Uniden Choices, I would go ELITE or XL...68 or 78 does not matter a whole lot

You can send it back to them. They will re-wire it for which ever radio you tell them to. replace the wire and put a new screen on it for you.

I did have a Cobra 500 once that sounded good. I paid $30 for it at a truck stop though I should have just bought online...would have been cheaper. The stock speaker sucks and is not in the best place on the radio. An external speaker can make a world of difference in how well you can hear.

yeah, as far as i know it is illegal.... everything that radio does even the cb channels, only cuza the extra power. But thats common, and not many people will give you a problem with it, but extra power can make it hard to talk close. Anyway sideband is completely different, if the radio has a USB or a LSB switch, those are the sidebands (and side band is legal on CB as long as you dont pump...

OK, Here's an interesting one. My 3 week old General Lee worked great for the first 2 1/2 weeks but now it just shuts itself off then comes back on again. It does it when I'm transmitting or when I'm just listening. It usually stays off for just a few seconds but the other night it wouldn't come back on for over 2 minutes. It's not overheating, all connections are good, and I replaced the ...
