I had a Ford f-250 that was doing that and it was a speed sensor in the rear end, that in my case came unhooked and didnt let the truck shift. If u have a mechanic that will give u a straight answer for minimal charge it may be easy to check.

Im looking for possible reasons as to why my truck is worthless until it has been running for two mintues. its almost like I'm pulling a boat without a trailer until a minute or two goes by then its normal. When I try and turn or load up the 4 wheel drive the front in makes a huge jolt. it works in 4 wheel drive but does this after it loads up. Both Cv axl's have been done already as well. I am guessing it has something to do with the transfer case. I also can't manually shift it into 4H while moving even slow with out it grinding. I have a 2007 GMC Sierra and was curious about changing the oil in my truck. I wanted to knwo if there was anything that i need to do in order to reset the remaining life of my oil back to 100%? Also i had the dash telling me that the oil in my truck was low and this light came on at 25% oil life remaining does anyone know if that is a pre-warning. I checked the level and it was a little low, but i just want to make sure. Thanks for anyone...
