Like Ron I think you are way way too early to bid for next May although I normally start the bidding process around two months beforehand to give me plenty of time for rebids. If you are at all worried about getting a place just make another regular booking. One that you can cancel later without penalty.

Hello, You can probably visit Maastricht in one day, maybe you should think of 2 days in Brugge...I've not been in Brugge so I don't know how much there's to do there...Just can advice you to see the movie " In Bruges "... If you want to visit the man-made caves in the St Pietersberg near Maastricht as well, having two days in Maastricht is maybe better....
