Didn't you decide to go all inclusive to Komandoo back in a post in November? I have not been to Lilly beach so can't comment on it, as for Komandoo, simply brilliant! as I said to you before. I am not sure when you are going, Lilly beach is taking a lot of guests that were booked for Centara as it wasn't (Isn't??) ready for guests although they tried. If you look hard enough there are Tour operators that are upgrading...

jonno, I was referring to a recent review of the resort, not actually being serious.. LOL I think it is actually sarcasm, the lowest form of wit that I was in fact displaying! Glad you had a great time at Centara and recommend it!! It's not for me I'm afraid but hey each to their own!! Good to see that Centara have got it sorted for the xmas arrivals! Regards Emu

I'm staying at Ranvelli Village and wondered if they accept visa debit/maestro? All the forum posts mention credit cards, but none mention debit cards. Does anyone know if they accept these cards?

Hi Rach, The islands dont know Debit cards, and refuse them, I know people who have gone with only a Debit card and had to fight to use it, which is a problem and disturbing at the end of the holiday. if you dont have a credit card i would take cash or TCs. Rumps

agree with poison dwarf.... if this is your first visit , you will be lown away by either - but for my money , between those two, Lily wins no contest. i would also consider athuruga in the same category - which would then be my winner between those three :) Edited: 10:45 am, December 19, 2009

Hi Mark, Also planning on visiting Komandoo in April (first time in the Maldives !) and we're shopping around for the best deal at the moment. Would you be able to let me know which operators are offering the free upgrade to AI by any chance? That'd help a lot :D Thanks! Simon

1) sorry.. can;t help .. i am bad at checking prices . i just book and resign myself to going broke whie feeding my maldive addiction.

We started going to Lily Beach the year after our honeymoon and have been many times since and loved it. Our first trip to the refurbished resort is in a few months time. I'm sure it would be ideal for a honeymoon as all the reviews (apart from a recent one from someone who doesn;t seem to like any hotel outside his home town) are good now the intital problems have been resolved....
