''there is no smoking in any enclosed environment in a building with Air conditioning in SIN, it is law''. With respect ''de_last_one, that's not totally correct, many hotels with A/C have smoking rooms, where guests are permitted to smoke. Certainly in all public buildings, restaurants, bars, museums, etc smoking is not permitted indoors, in that you are correct. Alan. Edited: 8:16 am, yesterday

BKK is a trip not to be missed, it isnt that bad to get there but traffic can be a pain from/to airport to town. Have u considered Penang (aka pearl of the Orient) ? A cool Malaysian island with its own unique food and offers enough sights and sounds for an experience. Check out TigerAir for really cheap flights there. Dont miss Kek Lok Si temple good luck

Coffee can be very cheap in Singapore . It is around S$0.60 to S$0.80 per cup depending on the area/place. I seldom drink coffee so can't really comment on the quality. You can get this cheap coffee from hawker centres or coffee shop (without air-cond and it is normally located on the ground floor of the HDB flats). Black coffee (without milk) will be cheaper than coffee with milk. Edited: 7:08 am, yesterday

Best place to buy suit cases is Mustafa - it's open 24/ and easy to find. Another oprion is a couple of (very) cheap nylon laundry bags (the check pattern type) - just wrap them in packing tape for your flights.

Usually most hotels allow 3 in a room, the 3rd person usually has to sleep on a roll-away bed. Try hotels like Swissotel The Stamford, Carlton Hotel, Novotel Clarke Quay. What's you budget per room per nite? Yes, Ibis only allows 2 in a room as their rooms are really small so there's no way to add an additional roll-away bed.

For A$100 more for the 3 nites, I would go for the Pan Pacific. First the Pan Pacific is a class better than Parkroyal @ Kitchener. Second, Location. Pan Pacific is next to Suntec City Mall, Marina Square Mall and Millenia Walk Mall. It is convenient for food and shops. There is an underground mall link from Suntec City and Marina Square Mall to City Hall MRT Station. It is a...

Hi there, there's shouldn't be problem for short distance taxi ride because minimum charges applied as well as meter always in use for Singapore taxi. The only problem may occur is getting a taxi in peak hour (normally before 9am and after 5.30pm), it will be hard. You just need to be patient.

Look around for the best deal before you book. Make reservations through agents that allows you to cancel withhout any penalty. As much as possible, try not to pre-pay unless it is an absolute bargain.

errr... you are quite ambitious with your itinerary. ;-) If you arrive at 2pm, get to the hotel, checked-in and settle down abit. It would probably be 4pm at which you can have afternoon tea. At 4.30pm, it's nice to do a walking tour in the downtown area from your hotel, cross over to The Esplande Theatres at Marina Bay. Head to the rooftop garden of The Esplanade for a 360-...

I'm not the world's greatest shopper, but if I were looking for something inexpensive to wear I'd start at the ''Mustafa Centre'' . I must add it's not for the faint-hearted, or a claustrophobic, you've got to be someone that likes a challenge, and you'll probably need more time than I would be willing to give to shopping. The place is massive, massive as in huge, ...

Hi Iris, I've certainly heard of Zuji, though I never used them. You don't say where you're going, how long, or if you want flight only or a package with hotel etc. I'll help if I'm able, but one needs a little more information. As a rule of thumb I check out 5-6 airlines, if we're lucky like this year, we bought our S.I.A. tickets for next March in their sale and...
