The whole world and his brother go out for New Year's Eve in Spain . I have had the best New Years Eves of my life there. However, everywhere will be very expensive and very crowded. if you are staying in a hotel they will most likely have something organised. If you want to go to a restaurant they need to be booked well in advance. Bars and clubs will charge an admission. Yes, it would be a good idea to have a siesta as the party goes...

I had visited Granada several years ago on travel agency business without planning to see the Alhambra that particular time. Despite the fact that the hotel people knew I was there on business, I was harassed persistently to buy Alhambra tickets everytime I entered or left the hotel or walked by the front desk for any reason. I have been reading some really bad reviews of this place lately. Should I look somewhere else? Is there a big difference in room quality? It is very confusing. We really want a charming place with breakfast and a pool if possible in town so we can walk everywhere.

I couldn't recommend anyone specific, but if you pick up the Giraldillo in the tourist office there are listings for many types of massages there - from clinics to people who specialize in one thing or another. You can actually read it online - look up El Giraldillo in google.
