laughlin from Vegas
Published (2009-11-24 17:08:00)
Its a great day trip if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of LV, it will take you about an hour and a half to drive over, just valet your car at any Laughlin hotel as you would at any LV hotel, the walking is easy, the casinos are more laid back and the amenities are usually less expensive. Laughlin Hotels sit on the banks of the mighty Colorado River which separates’ Arizona from Nevada . During the summer the temp are...

Player's cards = buffet...

" The Vegas business model doesn't rely on buffet profits, it relies on the lost hands of blackjack that each average the same amount as the cost of a buffet. Which is borne out by the history of buffets being a subsidised attraction to keep you in a property." Welcome to 1980. Unfortunately for you none of the people who owned hotel/casinos then are still around. I know that this is hard to believe but even HET...

No. A discount just for having a players card would cut way too much into the hotels' profits.

Sin City

So much misinformation here. For the real deal, head to Paris (the one in France) where you'll find wonderful shows, great music in every genre (from three piece swing bands in dive bars, to orchestras, to big name pop acts), better food for half the price, and, yes, even gambling. (Plus a 5 euro bottle of wine over there would cost you $40 in Vegas .) Not even close to true. Paris is way more expensive than Vegas. The only place...

Those 3 are all the same price? I find that suspicious. Bellagio definitely, but please check the rates of each hotel on-line and you should try to book directly through the hotel, as opposed to through a travel agent. You can rebook through the hotel for a cheaper rate if the rate goes down, and most likely it will since you're looking so far out into the future.

Casa Di Amore & Gun Store
Published (2009-11-24 21:48:00)
I am not sure where the gun store is but I have had the limo take us to another hotel on the strip and they took my sons to the airport. I think we tipped about $10 each way ($5.00/person). Since the driver is either at the restaurant or on a run, you just tell your waiter when you want to leave and he checks with the driver. We have never been rushed out of there and have also had to wait until he came back but it wasn't very long....

The Miracle Mile shopping Mall at Planet Hollywood would be the only large group of stores in the area. There are a few shops for kids, including a Build-A-Bear and of course plenty of stores for women. The stores are not top-end like in the casino/hotels.
This is a few blocks south down the strip. Pass Bally's and Paris , next comes PH and the shopping area.

The last one I read that said "more to follow tomorrow". I am so bored with these long drawn out affairs now. If it isn't all there on day one I'm offski.

It would help if you mentioned the airline you're flying with so people can provide personal experiences. But in most cases, alcohol would be available at 8:00.

Not counting the bet I took to eat cheesey nachos out of the garbage in the mens room at Circus Circus, the worst meal I've ever had in vegas occurred at the Golden Steer. 2007 if I remember correctly. Which is too bad - first time I went there it was orgasmic. Which I guess could be good or bad depending on your predilection for such things.

Its possible - but not probable - that you will leave the casino with $.
We were in Nevada recently and we won enough each day to enjoy some nice dinners out; our lodging; and gas. (note: We had some comps for dinner also; we also had a good $ for our room price.). As such, our vacation was basically free.
We consider ourselves "lucky" ....its certainly not skill...
