Oops,Golden Coral is like Ryans. Try Chestnut Hill,Mayors House in Pawleys Island or Parsons Table in Little River.

Are those considered restaurants ? A more appropriate question is what are restaurants are NOT open in January. The Grand Strand is a year-round destination !

I thought my boys might like to build a car at Ridemakerz at Broadway at the Beach, but I'd like to know ahead of time how expensive it is. If it's really high, we may just avoid it altogether. I looked at their website, but I couldn't find any pricing.

First of all ChinaCatRider made a rude comment, especially not being from Myrtle Beach . I live here and I will keep my eyes open and I will ask around for places that will be open. I will give you some updates on this.

Forgot to mention- Cracker Barrel is open Thanksgiving but we tried it once a few years back when we were traveling thru GA and it was terrible. They served processed turkey roll instead of fresh roasted turkey- yuck! Maybe they've changed since then but we'll never risk it. Otherwise we like Cracker Barrel.

We stayed at Roxanne Towers twice. It is a smaller condo complex...all ocean front. There didn't seem to be many kids there. We were there in April and May. Parking is close and elevators very handy. I think it is 3 years old ...so it is in very good shape.

Take a look at The Sandy Beach Resort or Oceans One. Both are located at S. Ocean Blvd and 3rd Ave S. Both resorts have pools, spas and a lazy river. The Family Kingdom Amusement Park is 1/2 block south and the Family Kingdom Water Park (the only ocean front water park in the area) is next door to Sandy Beach. You can get a combo pass and the boys can go back and forth all day to both ...
