There was a similar post last week. To get to VV right away from the airport, take a tuktuk from the main road just outside the airport to the northern
bus station, 1km away and 10,000kip fare.
Buses leave every hour or less, and cost 55000 -65000 kip ($6-7), and takes between 3-4 hours depending on how many stops it makes. You should be there about 3pm.

The roads are fine - especially the main roads you ask about to LP. Tarsealed and maintained. All the roads on the main tourist routes are fine and have hundreds of vehicles passing every day. A good
road map to get is Nelles - they show the main highways and you can rely on all of these.

Hi,
I have never heard of this hotel which does surprise me a little, especially in this price range. Had a look at the website and the other hotels they have on there do seem
a little high in comparison to other sites.

thanks all. We were able to change our plane flights so we can spend more time now. We hate to rush as we like to go at a slower pace & really absorb things. Should we spend a
few more days in LP, elsewhere like Vientene or Phomn Pehn ? Or should we just spend more time in Chiang Mai , Chiang Rai, LP or Bangkok without adding another stop? LP was the only place we were going to go to...
