bhemusic, yes you can catch a boat from the pier, but unless you know whom you are looking for, and have contacted them before hand, well, ya get back what effort you put into it....ya know? If you have seen the Fishing in ZIH link, then you have the top recomended Capt.s AND their phone numbers. If you do not care to contact them directly, you can contact Ed Kunze, tell him what you are looking for, and he can set up your entire fishing...

I can't name a specific one, but there are many shops that do A/C in Zihua. Shouldn't be difficult to find what you are looking for, I don't recall seeing anything in Ixtapa .

Trip Report semi Long

Great report! So nice to read positive things about Zihua -- we read so much negative stuff for so long at other websites, it went on for years and really hurt the tourism business for the locals. TripAdvisor is great, and trip reports like this one are so refreshing. Thanks!

Great Fishing
Published (2009-12-09 11:56:00)
Thank you Keith for posting Ed's weekly fishing report. It's been hard to get a lot of information as there has been very few pangas going out do to the lack of tourists. The "season" has started and the fishing is excellent. Sailfish are present all year long but it gets better starting in Nov.. This is when a large influx of migrating sails come through the area. Julio on the super panga,...

A clarification to an otherwise great trip report: The Mercado (Central) is a bunch of individually owned stores under one roof on Benito Juarez. The 2 gringo-style supermarkets are Comercial Mexicana on Paseo de la Boquita which has some kind of Costco connection - there are a few Kirkland-brand items to be found and Bodega Aurrera on Avenida Jose Morelos. I'm told that they're Walmart...

hi,
They have small kitchens, with a plate wok type heater (two heaters) with a small microwave. There is also a small fridge (bar fridge) so you can store a few drinks, cold cuts, condiments ect.... we had breakfast and lunch for five people for 1 week and it was not a problem.
here's a picture , i was there last week, 3 bedroom condo...

Many restaurants close early on Christmas eve- around 6PM. I am sure some stay open, but don't know which ones for sure. I think you would have to ask around at the restaurants to find out that one. Christmas day is the same story- usually closed, but many will OPEN around 6PM. Regarding mass in English- I don't think so. There is a Christian Fellowship church that has services in ...

Great report! Thanks.
I miss Zihua....really need to get there again soon. :) And the Brisas del Mar is exactly where I want to stay.
May I ask, what was off about Daniels? We had a couple of nice meals there on the beach our first trip but our second trip there we got ripped off by a rogue waiter and it really was annoying. But the food was still good.

My vote is if you want one of the best (if not the best) views of Zihua Bay, one of the most romantic restaurants in the world, and some great food, stay at the Tentaciones.
Did I mention we are taking my family there tonight for dinner?
It is one of our favorites.

Not Hogwash at all. His administration is the only one who threaten to arrest US citizens for using any Cuban Product any where in the world. It is a FACT!

Peddler: I know you are way more knowledgable than myself about this stuff, so I have a question about internet safety on my own computer. Is there risk to my info if I only use it to Yahoo email, surf home newspapers, download pictures and send them home? Can my banking and credit card info be obtained if I am never on those sites? I am totally nieve. I just think it would be ...
