Along Richard Petty Blvd......near the track. We come up Clyde Morris and turn into Embry Riddle on Richard Petty Blvd.... you should not have any problems finding a spot.... I believe that we have parked on Coral Sea Ave too.... They usually set up a breakfast buffet at Olive Garden and also at the Mexican Restaurant next door..... Bob Evans is a short walk..... Renata

Really don"t know if I ever will get back there as friends invited us to their time share. I don't normally vacation in Florida . I like the real hot weather in Mexico in February . That said I really liked The Flagler beach area and the drive up A1A to St Augustine ,like to spend some time there. Daytona was a very relaxing place at this time of the year no traffic or crowds, and some very good beach time.Plenty of places to...

Our kids will be there, but I've never gone so can only think to add that the food and drink is expensive (just like other sports events like NFL, NBA, etc)

First vacation in 7 years, so it it will be for 3 months. (Dec) I am looking for pick-up games of roller hockey any where in the area. (50 mile or so ok) Also if any one needs a part time welder ( any metal, any type welding machine) Thanks for looking

Yes, during the week the lifeguard stations are cut back, but on the two nice weekends they were fully staffed.

I agree, get there very early. Parking gets full early too. Be prepared to pay to park. If you want to be able to return to your car during the day you will pay anywhere from 40 to 80 dollars. Last year we paid about 50 and were pretty close to the track in a parking lot of an auto parts store which let us in to use their very nice clean bathrooms. Otherwise you park in a field and ride a bus to the track. If you do park close take a cooler...

Are you going to be in Daytona on Saturday also? If you are then go to the Nationwide race on Saturday if you have not already planned to go. It is a 300 mile race and is usually very good. It is my favorite. John

Great trip report. You could go to the actual reviews section for each of the places you liked and leave a review (if you haven't already). That is how those places get ranked on TA and that helps other travelers to find your reviews. The forum posts sort of all blend together. Glad you had a nice time. DB is one of our fave places to chill.
