Skiing from Prague

Yes, you just need to keep checking on the website but I would not be too hopeful. If the ski lifts run, then the ski hire will also be open, there is at least one that I know of near the info centre by the lifts. I hope you realise that the trip will be costly if you hire a car but I expect it will be more convenient than by a bus and a tram. The last tram stop is about half a mile from the lifts, but there are a number of car parks just by...

Prague-boy - please put your post back, this time without your link to your site (unless you put in a specific disclaimer). There was otherwise some useful information in there and all such contributions are to be welcomed.

Skiing from Prague

To get to Liberec: studentagency.cz bus is much better than train. It takes 1 hour 5 minutes from Prague Cerny Most. There is also Liberec Dopravni podnik bus (slightly cheaper), buses are frequent on both. Student agency bus is slightly more comfortable, on arrival, go up, just past the parking area to get to the main street. Cross it (you will now be on the same side as the Railway Station). Take any tram towards Horni Hanychov).... The...

First timer to Prague

http://www.klasterni-pivovar.cz/en/ The Klasterini Pivovar is my favourite place in the area.It is not the cheapest place a round but reasonable but the food is very good and they make their own beer there which is wonderful. You will find lots of bars and resturants in this area but because of the area you will find prices higher than in other parts of the city. tripadvisor.co.uk/Travel-g274707-c122822/Pra… have a look at this link,it...

Oh yes, TV tower, great views but can't comment on food, only went there once for some snacks and drinks and that's a long time ago. You need to pay to get in.

Perhaps you could check several websites & select areas which might interest you. Quite a few people consider Prague 3 an artsy district; I find it too noisy. Generally speaking, Prague has a great transportation system & most of the sights are done by walking... There are several rental companies, this one is just one of them. Check the Israel forum; they seem to be the most ...

the easiest way for you would be to take the Airport Express bus which runs twice an hour from the airport to the central railway station for 50 Kc. Then walk down the stairs through the station, across the park to the right and your hotel is right there. About 5 minutes walk.
There are no trains at the airport only buses, shuttles and taxis.
