I can only assume this post is fake. We had the same planner - they took our money and didn't plan anything. We are stuck and our day is ruined. these are horrible people. These people are scammers. Do not give them any money.

Apartment or Hotel in Positano
Published (2009-11-06 07:34:00)
You should read the tab on the upper left side of this page for reviews of hotels and apartments. You should also look at a map of Positano and decide which part of the village you want to stay in as it is a vertical village and some places to stay are closer to the water and some are perched higher above the village which makes for spectacular views - which most places have - but also involves a lot of stairs, etc leading down to the water....

Wedding Photographer
Published (2009-11-07 18:04:00)
Hi, I am getting married in Positano in April and I have a few questions about photographers in the area. I have been looking for a good photographer that's reasonably priced and the two that I've found are Michele Pappalardo and Angelo Oliva. Does anyone have experience with either of these photographers? Also, how far in advance should I book the photographer? Any help is appreciated! Thanks

We are just back from our beautiful wedding in Positano and I would like to recommend our wedding planner - Linda from Amalfi Wedding Planners Email :info@amalfi-wedding-planner.com Address: La lampada di aladino s.r.l. Viale degli Eucalipti, 18 84134 Salerno ITALY I must have asked Linda 1 million questions throughout the 8 months of planning and always received quick and well advised replies. Linda's local knowledge meant that we had...

Amalfi or Positano
Published (2009-11-10 10:16:00)
Positano is very crowded and busy and has turned in the penultimate tourist trap in my opinion. Amalfi is nice but is at the southern end of the AC and to get to other places such as Pompeii, Herculaneum, Capri , it's a longer trip either by boat or bus. You might consider Praiano which is between Positano and Amalfi. It's quiet. less expensive, has the same great views, and has great hotels and restaurants. Accessibility to other...

Amalfi or Positano

Amalfi’s distance does have an advantage over Positano – The buses are less crowded. By the time the buses towards Sorrento arrive in Positano, they could be filled. Vagabonda

In certain areas, they still clain to do weddings and have not been seen or heard of in years. Many of their property info is also way out if date. I am talking for the area I live in Valpolicella / Verona . Why keep a property on your website to make you look like a huge looutfit if you have not updated / been to the place ?

A nice yacht/boat with two cabins, 2 baths, kitchen facilities, etc. with skipper and deck hand/chef aboard can be "small" to a certain extent - 10 to 12 meters. I think you're still looking at a minimum €1000 a day hire. You need to check out amalfi coast yacht charters on the web or some speciality publication.

DO NOT pay this company to plan your wedding!! We used Euroevents and Travel (under italian-weddings.com) to plan our wedding last year in Umbria and it was a total DISASTER. They are extremely untrustworthy, hard to trace in the event anything goes wrong and uninterested when it does. They forgot to tell us what documents we needed for the legal paperwork, then they sent the paperwork to the ...

It is advisory to book in advance as to get a Taxi from the Airport Rank is very expensive,

Hello,
I fear that we, too, are currently being impacted by the sham of Euroevents & Travel. My husband and I spent several months planning a civil wedding on Lake Como to be organized by EE&T. Although our wedding did actually take place, we have just found out (through the photographers, arranged via EE&T) that they had been told our wedding had been cancelled 2 wks ...

cant decide between positano, ravello, sorrento or amalfi town?
we like places that arent too touristy but equally has bars and restaurants and a bit of life. I guess we could access the other places from where ever we stay anyways?

Under Italian law, the only people who can perform a wedding are Catholic priests and the relevant officials at the local Town Hall. Therefore, there are no celebrants of the kind you want.
