And whilst I do think the events are expensive, they are well run, and pleased he's doing more multisport events these days rather than simply running taking away from the many good runs put on by local running clubs. Although many of those are also extremely well run too. Don't begrudge the guy his success at all.

Perhaps, the 'new' stepping run will be easier. Stepping Run?. My home town has some old...

The 5th or the 12th would be fine for me. Although I would probably have to join you around 5.30 if it was the 5th cos I'll be at the footy.

Not as voracious drinker as I once was, mine would be to train harder and to HTFU in times of mental weakness.
Also to be more encouraging to my wife who is getting into all this nonsense

1. Regular training. Make sure I train to a level that means I will still be able to train the following day. Last year I did some mega sessions that put me down for a couple of days after and I reckon it did me more harm than good on race day.
2. Make the hard stuff like intervals really hard, but the easy stuff really easy. Too much training in the middle last year.
3. Do swimming...

Forgot to say, this mag came out in Oct before Kona - so might seem a bit out of date.
Next Mag will be out before Christmas for club members - so I'll post it on here again sometime end of Jan for everyone.
Be warned again, there may be some more nakedness in that one also.....

Hi Guys,
I'm in the process of looking at races for next year.
The thought is nagging at me to perhaps go long distance.
From those of you that have "Gone Long", what are the biggest challenges in training and what were the most valuable resources you had?

I just wanted to canvas abit of opinion on peoples thoughts and use of their own triathlon clubs.
The reason I ask is that having moved out of the big smoke back to my Cornish roots I decided to start taking my training abit more seriously, as part of this I decided to join my local cycle/triathlon club.
