The problem with pushing the webOS platform is that it is somewhat limited. I am a sprint rep and own the phone and absolutely love it; but, it is a first gen operating system so I make it clear what the phones have to offer. I say 'if you are not patient this isn't the phone for you'. The pre has had its deal of hardware problems and as an employee they are trying to avoid that imo.

Okay, so here's what I did that caused the problem: Installed Greg's messaging plugin 1.0.4 Uninstalled Greg's plugin (but something was apparently left behind- think you still have the issue even if you didn't uninstall) Updated to 1.3.1 Yahoo wouldn't log in, when removing AIM and trying to readd it, it wouldn't log in either. clearly you didn't download the update that the rest of us did. Doctor your Pre back to 1.2.1 and run the official update from Palm :-) This was only an upgrade of 0.1 and wow did they pack in some fixes. Shows that Palm is taking what we say and making changes. You can't be upset by this.

no, in a week or so im going to buy an extended battery. i just bought my pre the other day and i love it but palm really screwed us with the crap battery life.
does disabling gps when not in use save on battery life?

Nice! When is soon? Ineed this now! Once I have this, an agenda app, and a Podcast app I can be done with homebrew forever! (homebrew apps/quick install/dev mode cause major lag issues on my phone. Runs 100x smoother without.

Yes...my wife had same problem and had to remove the Delete Email Notification Patch to fix her problems.
So far things are back to normal, but my unit is not displaying JPG files in email either, so I suspect I still have problems with 1.3.1 update or patch combination.

a little more info would help. I'm running sprint WebOS 1.3.1 and i have jpg albums loaded that I can view just fine. OS version? Tweaked/Patched? Last thing you did before this issue? etc...

I got my first pre on lunch day ,but saturday after up date to 1.3.1 the usb stop working so they order me one and i just got it today it took and hour to get it activated. Don,t know how to check the warranty day,but it look brand new no Oreo effect ,but like 15 dead pixels or stock pixel don't know.It show that i have 12 voice messages and when i go to my voice mail it says you don't have any ...

go to preware and get the FREE "PalmBook" pretty decent FB app, only problem I have found is that i can't seem to figure out how to; Read, see or post comments on photos? other than that it does just about EVRYTHING that it should!!!

Oh, and if you want it to go directly to your Google Voice voicemail without waiting a few extra rings after it forwards make sure you do this in Google Voice:
Click Settings
Click the Phones tab
Click the Edit button under your mobile number
Click Show Advanced Settings
Scroll to the bottom and under Forwarding Options select Go straight to voicemail

new sprint tv interface, seems to me the quality has gotten a bit better
placement of photo options are now at the bottom of the picture
while in the phone preferences, an on/off switch for international dialing.
in email app, u can search for different folders. for example if you have a folder labeled 'video' just start typing and the folder will appear
