Where are the moderators when you need them. If this guy was bashing the pre in the same tone he would have been deleted by now. Ive just chosen to ignore him.

the biggest complaint i have about the Droid keyboard is the long reach for my right thumb. i dont have particularly large hands so it's a bit of a stretch. otherwise, it's fine, especially with the revised design. oh, and im not a fan of horizontal sliders, but that is nothing more than personal preference.

i didnt know visual voicemail and desktop sw is available through their app store so thats good to know... but does emphasize how important is they get the app store out of beta because they will be able to make up time with providing those missing features through apps and come up with innovative new features that others dont. yeah, its all good... just making the points again staying within the context of OP... when they moved it to...

Welcome!! 1. I've been using palm devices for awhile now. I didnt like the Treo Pro and the Pre's launch date had been announce while i was still in my 30 days... 2. I love the multitasking, but I also love web browsing on it, and there are some apps that I use everyday. Its also a fine gps for this city "syracuse" and i use it for movies and such when i have too much free time, although I think i prefer using the...

I had a pre and traded for an HTC hero. The pre was just slow and buggy. The thing I hated most was that in flicking away cards, if you try to flick a call away to end it, the phone wigs out. It would minimize and maximize repeatedly and the screen would flash on and off. Also, as great as it was, I rarely used the cards. My hero accomplishes multitasking fine, which is generally listening to ...

Well hi Phil. Nice to see you trying out webOS and the Pre/Pixi. Well I'll start off helping answer some of your questions.
1. I think it will hold up. Sales show more than 1 million webOS devices have been sold. As for full-on graphics, I think people will be able to hold on a little longer, and Palm is not dumb, they will give the people what they want.
2. The Pixi is nice, but for hard-...

We were at a Street Fair yesterday and there was a Verizon booth. All of the sales reps say everyone who has bought the Droid hate the keyboard and not that impressed with the phone itself. DH looked at it (he is on Verizon) and then he looked at some HTC one they have (which was pretty sweet --- still I wouldn't give up my Sprint plan for a Verizon one) but he is going to hold out until May ...

yeah well, since my packages havent arrived, the app stores my track numbers and i can just open it up and it will check all track numbers i have listed and give me an update without having to go to said website and enter each one in and go through multiple steps through each screen each time you want to follow up and check.
that would be stupider when you have an app that can do it for you....

I feel your pain man. I still have my original visor and 2 of my old treos. Palm os was the pioneer of apps and smartphones. So many cool cheap apps the sky was the limit. Apple still has a long way to to top what palm os had accomplished. So where and how did palm get away from that? web os is severley lacking. My treo while a bit dated smokes my pre in daily functionality. I also will be ...

The hero is hardly an upgrade IMHO its more of a lateral switch or even in some cases a downgrade (lower res screen, outdated android, and slower processor) but to each their own but dont be surprised if youre disappointed (i tried both and again IMHO the hero was rubbish)

Thanks for this post. I had a hard time decided weather to buy a Pre or a Tour and went with the Pre since it came out first. Ever since then, I've been wondering if I would've liked the Tour better, but I multi task all the time now that I have that capability.
