One area I find interesting on this forum is market profile. I had never heard of this method until I found this forum. It seems that market profile has been heavily discussed here among futures traders. My question is: Can market profile be applied to markets other than the futures markets? Is this methodology designed only for commodities? I have never heard stock traders mentioning this....

The age old question makes me smile. There will always be a multitude oif opinions all slightly different. The Gann boys would argue that you compare March vs March, June vs June, September vs September, December vs December There will be others who say adjust the chart by stating that the new level is the equivalent of the old level and therefore if one still used paper hand drawn charts ...

This thread is about this thread on EliteTrader. TradeMaven Group is obviously trying to market their software/chat room/brokerage there (in which in am not interested in the least), but I am only interested in discussing the ideas outlines in that thread, specifically how past volume distributions might show you potential support/resistance points and when you should enter or stay out of the ...

If you're asking what "One Time Frame Market" means: it means that one market participant group is in control....such as the public...there are the 4 Cti (Customer Type Indicator) groups: Floor, Commercials, off floor members, and Public... Almost, if not all the time the public will be the ones to drive the price out of balance. Basically you are looking for this to happen..the transition ...

Soul, would u mind telling me if u take trades based on LVA or HVA or on the POC ? sometimes i am not very certain if i shd take at the POC as we all know that the market might just rotate ard the POC , but if we take trades at the edge of the value area , we might end up getting the bad side of the trade if it is a range day?

I have read both the CBOT MP manual and Mind over Market. Here are a few questions I have relating to MP. 1) Why does the ES move up or down? 2) Doesn't the S&P move according to the movement of the 500 stocks in this market? 3) Why does the ES (S&P), the YM (Dow), and the ER (Russel) all move in rhythm with each other? 4) Doesn't the YM (Dow) and the ER (Russel) also move...
