Saw this over at ET, thought I'd post here for anyone that may not visit the dark side too much. You'll need to click on it once to get the attachment up and then click on it again to get full size. I didn't feel like breaking up into small screenshots. Source

Another warning today... Nikkei is extremely weak breaking out of its morning range downwards. Roughly 750yen difference from its close yesterday. Its pretty bad.... the markets are taking an ass whooping. One interesting thing is that since price traded within a tight range for most for the day, value area is still in the upper half of the daily range. Usually I would develop a long ...

Yesterday the Dow recorded its worst single day drop ever of over 750 pts. This is slightly worse than the first trading day after the 9/11 attacks. Yesterday Nikkei expressed severe weakness breaking at key support level despite the somewhat optimistic news on the $700billion bailout over the weekend. At first, it appeared that traders did not think the bailout would save the ...

I've just read Market Statistics by Jerry, excellent thread, the videos are addictives, really appreciated. I'm a sierra chart user and have difficulties to find the indicators; I saw multiple threads in SC forum with no solutions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not given it much thought before really but I was watching the YM yesterday and what would have worked for me in FX, seemed oblivious in the dow. Obviously, the big boys are not the same people, the economics are different and there is a lot of alternate factors affecting FX vs Indices. I am not naive enough to believe all trading book cliché patterns etc. but, even the simplest of things ...

Is anyone familiar with the wolfe wave? The YM and NQ are showing pretty classic examples. Here is a daily chart of YM, the up-trending blue line is the target line. This is a high probability pattern in a ranging market, which YM certainly is in after the expanding pattern over the past 2 months. If you are not familiar with the wolfe wave, google it - it is an effective pattern ...

Market Analysis September 3rd, 2008 Nikkei remains weak from yesterday. Both days reaching new lows in the afternoon showing clear lack of demand at higher prices yet. We had a pretty drastic range extension into the late afternoon session yesterday followed by heavy accumulation around the 12500 mark. This level will be key for the upcoming days. Once the boys who bought around this ...

Interesting day for the Nikkei and more to come on the ES. Interesting because we are seeing price rejection above a 2 day overlapping value area . Yesterday the US markets closed positive with higher value placement. Nikkei gapped up only to be rejected swiftly creating a single print tail. (see below chart) A bit of weakness in my opinion going into the US session. 1274 ...

Thursday's order entry debacle sealed it for me. Tradestation used to be the standard for tech. analysis along with esignal, metastock. In the past years it has been passed up by better products. I am now looking for a new solution. Neoticker has always attracted me, and I think that using the MB account is what I will likely do. I know about ninja trader and it seems good also....
