Well after a steady slide against the dollar for a few weeks it looks like EUR.GBP has bust out of a several month range. I just wondered what you currency guys & gals thought about sterling's immediate to mid term prospects? Doesn't look great to me. This is merely from a general interest point of view of someone that has pounds as there 'home currency' rather than as a trading opportunity...

The carry trade can be tough at the retail level becuase of the rates the buckets pay are usually a rip off. Go with the a non-mm and your off to a good start. Another thing on "hedging" - There is no such thing in FX. In the real interbank market there was no such thing. You buy then sell to exit. Yes you can have a long and a short but it was / is done by a multiple alloc. breakdown...

Hi, I have come to the conclusion that the final missing peg in my trading is volume. As a spot FX trader, I do not have it so my question is......... Anyone tried spot and futures and can tell me if there are any major differences between the two? (that may hindrance my trading rather than enhance with volume)... ie liquidity, size, brokers, spreads, hours etc.... Cheers

I have a wonderful opportunity that has been presented to me. I have a great friend of mine who went to college with a buddy of his that holds a seat on the CME. My friend spoke with him and his connection is expecting a call from me to chat. The problem.. I'm not sure what to ask. I'm not sure how to approach this opportunity. This is about the same as if someone got to meet a rock ...

I didn't want to put this in the other post and have it get lost. Is anyone aware of an FX broker that offers a DOM like what you see in futures? I'm looking for a price ladder function that a standard futures DOM offers. Thanks!

Hi everyone, in this thread I would like to share with you my thoughts on how to determine Forex volume data. Since my research journey has brought me to the VSA method, determining volume is a vital component. Elder states in Trading for a living that there are mainly three ways how to measure volume: 1) The actual number of shares, contracts, etc. traded. 2) The number of ...

Not sure if Art is around but I wanted to refer back to the charts again that were posted on page #1 of this thread referring to the GBP/USD. Right now the currency pair bounced off the 1.9680 Support and is heading back towards the 1.9960 Resistance level. This is a VERY elementary question as I am very new to utilizing these hard S&R levels, but hopefully after a large laugh you may ...
