The Rogue is a direct competitor to the Venza. It is priced very close, and is another offering of an erstwhile CUV vehicle. After seeing this review, it was clear that the Rogue is nowhere near the Venza

John85D, Your Venza will be unique in the Philippines whatever the wheels. At least you should not need to worry about handling in snow. Hope you enjoy your new Venza.

Clearance sale for the 2009 models?

dobdob - Discounts are confusing since we traded in the old 04 Sienna as part of the deal. We'd negotiated in good faith at a different dealer 3 months ago and they had offered us considerably less on the trade in. At the end of the day we were happy enough with the deal that we didn't press very hard for a lower price. The list price for a 2010 I4 AWD premium with freight+pdi is $34,860. A 2009 is $33,790. An the colour choice is...

samej, congrats!!! Happy to learn I inspired you to look for the best possible deal, but you blew my mind when you said you got 2100$ off the list price on a 2010! How on earth did you manage to squeeze that out of Toyota?! If you don't mind me asking, what kind of financing are you looking at? I must admit that the 4,9% rate (36-month, purch.) for the 2010s (2,9% for the 09s) turned me down. After all, one's got to consider what...

While I'm not a fan of the Rogue myself it has garnered a number of very
positive reviews so I don't think it's quite as bad as you make it out to
be.Also, the Murano would be a closer competitor to the Venza than the
Rogue.

A question..... since when is there an excess of '09 Venza inventory in Canada? From all that's been posted here, that sales strategy seems to be contrary???
There is still a lot of excess "09 inventrory in the U.S. but national ads don't include the Venza.....??

Hi John85D,
You might try looking for the offset # on the BACK of the rims. Can't vouch for this, but our Tire Fair Dealer says they should be there. To try and get rim specs regarding offset from a Toyota Dealer is virtually hopeless - unless they had occasion to research this with the factory people. The parts depts order everything by a Toyota P/N and the detailed specification info is ...

I must have read at least 6 or so articles mentioning the Venza is built for the North American market only.

One member here already had his Venza stolen and my son made mention of his friend's neighbour having his Venza stolen. Is it due to lack of Venza's or is due to parts ??
My insurance is having me install a secondary anti-theft device in my Venza, when initially they did not require it. I may get a steering wheel bar as well.

Congrats on your purchase! I looked at alot of different cars and the Venza does it all! Room for 4, drives nice, power up the &^%$, tow, plenty or cargo room, comfortable...plus very good mileage considering power and weight. I average 23 combined with my V6 and got 25.8 on a tank I took a 200 mile trip on. Thats 9mpg better then my 03 Tundra with more power and more interior room.

Roof rack may be available aftermarket....but not from Toyota. It's the fact that you have a panoramic sunroof that doesn't allow the normal RR to fit.

I considered the SRX before buying a Venza. The interior of the SRX is done to a higher standard than the Venza, but it should be given the price differential. However, the SRX is significantly slower in acceleration and has less cargo space than the Venza. I also expect that the SRX will depreciate more rapidly and its reliability is unknown.

I have done both options.
Keeping the same rims and changing the tires and also doing complete tire and rim swap.
After many years of doing complete tire and rim swaps I feel it's the best.
I rather not take tires of and on the rims if I can as they could get damaged etc.
It's pricey in the begining yet you only use the set half of the year so that is the way I'm going to go.......

This is a great thread!! We have always used the power switches when closing the door. I don't think we have ever closed it manually. If I am understanding your post correctly, the power door does the final closing and locking when you close it manually. That is when your fingers started to get caught. Would it appear to you that a safe operation of the door would be to always use the power ...

only difference i have seen is:
"Venza's Standard Audio System features AM/FM/MP3-WMA Player, USB Audio Input, Bluetooth® Capability, XM Satellite Radio, 6 Speakers, Automatic Sound Levelizer System, and Steering Wheel Audio Controls." So no 6 disks, but USB & bluetooth built in, and I assume bluetooth phone controls on the steering wheel instead of a separate button on the dashboard....
