^ got downtravel?!! OP, i personally do not recommend going over 2.5" if your truck is a daily and your doing this lift purely for aesthetics. you will have an extremely rough ride if you go over this.

I never got why people put a cat-back on trucks. Why not save money and weld in a aftermarket muffler? The performance difference between a cat-back and just a muffler swap is not noticeable.

It really sounds like it might have something to do with your engine immobilizer and/or key. Maybe one or the other is shorting out?

I always use 4th gear instead of D around town. Better fuel mileage doing that as well.
No problems with my 08 with shifting.

wow, mine never did that from day 1.
Make sure you remove any other mats before installing them, they don't fit at all with the stock carpet mats in there.
But yeah, mine never did that, looks like they got bent bad too bad you've had them so long because I doubt the company will do anything for you now but who knows.

2005 Tacoma SR5 TRD double cab V6 approx 82k miles- I am experiencing a thump as I slow to a stop and again as I start again. My gut initally told me that rear brakes shoes were grabbing and drums need turning. I had front done at 70K and was told rears had 1/4 wear on them. My anxious personality then wonders about the transmission or powertrain. I have serviced rear diff regularly and greased ...

Lifting a daily driver is fine. I put about 20,000 miles a year. For a lift greater than 2.5 you should invest in upper control arms. The reason is, they correct the caster alignment which you screw up by lifting. This will help keep steering at speed stable, and keep the truck from wondering on bumps in the road. Wear and tear isnt an issue. The package you mentioned will be fine. Just ...

I've got nitrogen in my tires! Sixty- Five percent of the content of my tires is nitrogen. The rest is oxygen and trace gases.
What a load of crapola!
If you keep your tires properly inflated, versus not, you'll see a difference in mileage, but not a great amount. You'll also see less tire wear.

Don't go to the dealer you are gonna get screwed on the price. Go to Wallysworld or Sam's Club if you want a basic cheap battery. Sears has good mid range to some high end Die Hard's. I went with an Odyssey Dry Cell PC-1500, because I am gonna keep my truck for 10-15 years. It is a pretty penny around $230-250, but never have to worry about it running dead.

amsoil synthetic oil. i change my oil every 25k miles or 1 year. I have yet
to have 25k miles on the oil but after 1 year its still run great of being
in it. if you put the miles on it it is worth paying the extra money per
quart and the extra money for filter.

I'd like to see Toyota increase the distance between the gas pedal and the brake pedal. They're a lot closer together on the Tacoma than other Toyota models I have driven. The brake should be a little more to the left IMO.
But I'm sure that's not what this is about. They're probably just taking off the bottom inch or so in order to decrease the chance that it will catch a floor mat.

You should have thought about this before you purchased your truck. And this truck has been around since 05' that isn't old.
In all seriousness why are considering of getting rid of it?
