Need help on Lift and tires

The difficulty of the lift install depends on exactly which components you purchase. If you buy a spacer or just a new coil, you will need a spring compressor for install. You can rent them, or just take your coil overs to a shop, and they will re-assemble your coil over with the new gear in there. If you go with something like a full coil over, that comes pre-assembled for you, meaning its ready for you to just throw in. We always recommend...

Re: All-Pro Heavy Duty Steering Links: Why and How. Thank you thought my install was wrong. I cannot find the paper work to confirm but could swear it showed the clevis sitting as in the first picture and its been so long since I installed these. I do remember thinking at the time in order for them to work properly and for max articulation purposes the bolt must sit in the horizontal position.

Re: Lift Help I can't imagine doing it in stages... If you do the back first it will look like my 66 Chevelle I had in High School... and if you do the front first you probably won't be able to see over the hood. The install is really not to hard... If you got someone to help you. I did my Toytec with a buddy from work on a Saturday. I agree about the tools.. hardest thing to get off is the UCA from the spindles... If you going to...

You'll get a lot of "oooo's" and "ahhhhhhs" over the Icon coil overs on here. Many people run them. Typically nothing but praise about them. Seem to be a fantastic product.

Call Toytec. They sell the OME lift and have looked at my 2010. They should be able to tell you if it will fit or if something else needs to be done. BTW - the Toytec lift works and looks great!!

Need help on Lift and tires Hey I'm a newbie and would like to upgrade my FJ. I want to do a lift with new tires and wheels. I'm thinking either a 2 or 3" lift and would like to get BFG tire and procomp wheels. How difficult is the lift to install? What about wheel sensors ( out the door?). I have lots of questions. anyone do this ...

It would be really interesting to find out who has switched from one to the other. You're gonna get a lot of... I have the Toytec and it is great... I have the Icon and it is great. I can give you my opinion on the Toytec, but it won't tell you much, because I have never driven with the Icons. Anyone with real comparisons? Comparisons with the same tires and weight load would be best...

im guessing your front sway bars still attatched...next, when you alter the center of gravity, and go up, regardless of heigth, everything changes...i would give it some time and see if you dont adjust to the change. odds are, you did everything correct, and aligned it afterwards..did you get the new tires balanced?

Very nice!! I have wanted to get these since I heard about them. One question, I have the swaybar links and I put them on and the heims bind so much that if I turn the wheel full, it loosens the threads on them. I had to go back to stock until I find a fix. Any suggestions??

Hello, Great questions. In our experience, we have chosen to design our spacer From 6061 T-6 Aluminum. Tough stuff. Lighter weight and not as 'stiff' of a ride. Now we have chosen a design that does not go just on top of your coil over, rather, in with the coil over. Causing less strain on other IFS components. Which is why there is no bolts. What I might consider, since there is ...

Highest 3inch lift? - 6 new posts

Highest 3inch lift? I recently noticed that there is quite a difference between each brand. A couple of months after installing my toytec 3inch basic lift kit, I had the FJ parked next to my friends FJ with a 3inch Rough Country kit and noticed that my car is significantly higher, about an inch higher, especially in the front. ...

Lift Help Hey guys, I want to put an ICON suspension on my 08 FJ. My mechanical skill is limited, but I am learning w/ each Mod that I do. My question is; is there a way to do the lift in stages? So that it is easer in the novice mechanic and on a strained budget. Or should I just save and get a ICON stage 5 and pay to have a pro ...
