ok im really happy to say that my fj has no rips, cracks, buldges or any kind of imperfection anywhere near the inner fenders, fenders wheel wells. build date is 2/07 with 53k miles,no tire rub anywhere. my fj is 100% stock. i wish all of you were that lucky. im not rubbing it in that my fj is fine, just stating that not all fj's may have been affected.....so far mine is spot on! but i will see about getting the inner fender support updated...

Ya, the factory extendeds are a LOT better. You still have to be careful.....but it largely then depends on the dealership.

It does appear so. I think we all hope that Toyota has finally fixed this problem.

I owned a 2008 FJ and loved it. Sold it as we moved and needed cash to purchase new home. Thinking of buying another one BUT reading about the Body Rips issue is VERY concerning. Has the problem been fixed in the 2010 new model, or even the 2009 late production units? If so, then I'll consider purchasing another one. Thanks, Jack

If you read them in detail, any kind of modification or offroading voids all their responsibility. My general rule is: if it NEEDS an extended warranty....it must be a piece of **** to begin with. Sean Sean it is factory extended warranty. I drive mine in all dented up and have 98% of all things covered under...

So whats the deal with TSBs? If you are out of warrenty are you SOL? I have a very early build (3/06) and I am concerned about my rear diff, sinking seat, and the brake noise in reverse. If I take my FJ into a dealer will they just send me packing? Will I have to pay for toyota's mistakes myself? We bought my FJ with 30k miles on it and I was past that before I knew about any of these. Is there ...

Sounds like the manager needs to meet you at your house in the morning when it makes the noise. Are you sure the road your on isn't the cause? You said it happens in the same place. Maybe 4WD is not disengaging right away? Hope you get it figured out.

Turn signals inop for extended periods... This is weird. Observation: I unlock the FJ with the remote and it beeps but no flashing lights. It starts fine and drives well, but the turn signals will not function. Left, right, hazards. This will continue for a while, as short as five minutes as long as 20, then every thing works like ...
