Re: Behind the plastic.....

That is a big job for sure. I have seen the section of the service manual here somewhere that shows the breakdown of body panel parts and how to intall them. It is pretty detailed so I would think your shop has access to that as well.

Ladder, Gobi or Baja? Why?
Published (2009-11-23 12:33:00)
Didn't read through the whole thread, so I'm sure there is good reason for that clamp with BAJA's design. However, with GOBI's design the ladder is firmly clamped to the door and does not shift side to side or up and down. The bottom clamp on the GOBI seemed excessive to me because my ladder didn't even move side to side before I put it on. It was already a pretty tight fit. I'm sure either ladder will do the...

It should look great and maybe even cut down on opposing headlight glare! Hi Jen, It's not really that hard to install it. I installed it on my Silver FJ and and I can help you put it in on your Sandstorm . I'm available on weekends, just let...

Re: GOBI or Baja and why?
I have no experience with the Gobi, it was way out of range price wise for a rack. The Baja suits my needs just fine and compliments the look of the truck as well. I agree that I think I like the look of the Gobi better but the price made it an easy decision. There is definetely no lack of strength or lack of ...

When I did mine I didn't remove the whole headliner. I was able to just pull it down where I needed to get to the wires. It wasn't too bad at all.

I've been looking at the same one. I like the fact that it keeps the factory look. If you don't mind can I ask you what you paid for it or a ballpark figure? They don't have a price on the wed site, unless I didn't look close enough.

Re: Putco Vent Visor Install Issue Help!!!
I just installed the AVS ones and had a similar problem on the passenger side. You have to make sure the visor is tucked up in the channel all the way. Once the taped is removed and you get the window closed, the pressure of the window should hold it in place until the adhesive cures. At least...

Re: Sanding End Caps
I agree, if your gonna sand it down, you might as well go the rest of the way and paint it. its real easy, cheap, and will look much better. plus sanding is the majority of the work anyway.
