Those caps could be there for any number of purposes, but if they are for smoothing and for the pence they cost, (and the fact that they are the most prone of the components on that board to deteriorate), they would be my first port of call. I would replace the two capacitors and the relay with the "melts" You should be able to get these from somewhere like Jaycar, probably wont cost too much

on my way home today, my doors started unlocking themselves. as they were already unlocked all that happened was you could hear the actuators working and the button on all the doors would wobble slightly. if i pressed the lock button, they would all lock and then unlock again immediatly. pressing the unlock button would just make them do what they were doing on their own. it would keep doing this every couple of seconds, till i pulled over...

Basically, i bought a manual 89 model surf without an engine. The engine harness was sitting in the bay, but far from decent condition. As i am not familiar with diesels at all, i am requesting assistance from a fellow owner in Sydney with a mechanical 2LT surf for comparison.
I have a 5L mechanical with a Denco turbo kit installed sitting in the bay mated to the trans.... and that's ...

A U.S. posting here,,, got this over on their site also. I have an 86 4Runner, with a 2LT-II swapped in.
So, this weekend I drove to West Virginia, a distance of a little of 200 miles, and all was hunky dory. On the way back, however, after just hitting the road, I saw that my fuel gauge was hovering on, or just beneath, empty, although the low fuel warning light hadn't come on. 'That's...

A week or so ago on a trip, my blower motor just stopped working. One day it was fine, the next day it wouldn't kick on. After the trip, I checked all the fuses: all good. Alright I figure, time to start trouble shooting.
First thing I did was pull the fan out, and hook it up to the battery: hey presto, works fine. Next, I ran a search on here, to find out some info about the motor ...

Due to fun finding replacements and getting someone to fix them I've taken to rebuilding ECUs for at this stage KZN130 and LN130 and had a good success rate (99%). Some of you can probably do it yourselves with the hardest part being plucking up the courage to have a go. The fan motor in my 93 surf kicked the bucket..i can tap it and it may run for 2 seconds to 1 minute but it quickly goes downhill and start making funny noises and then stops.
Can anyone tell me if the motor from a runner is the same? I haven't looked yet but i am thinking they must be.
The heater box is looking like it outta be removed to get the fan out past the floor.
Hmmm...
