Heater Fan Motor
Published (2009-10-31 07:51:00)
The fan motor in my 93 surf kicked the bucket..i can tap it and it may run for 2 seconds to 1 minute but it quickly goes downhill and start making funny noises and then stops. Can anyone tell me if the motor from a runner is the same? I haven't looked yet but i am thinking they must be. The heater box is looking like it outta be removed to get the fan out past the floor. Hmmm... _________________ Real Trucks Don't Have Spark Plugs.

I think that your best bet is going to be one of those Ellerys manuals. Published (2009-11-09 20:45:00)
Hi guys, thinking about purchasing an altimeter from 90 model surf. Just wondering is there more parts than just the pod that sits on top of the dash. thought there might be a seperate sensor somewhere. Any info would be much appreciated. _________________ AT LEAST I OWN IT

Got the 185. The other day headlights just died, but no other signs of electrical probs. Fuses ok. High beam ok. Foggies ok. Windows ok.Weird I'm thinking something crude. Been thru the tech site, perhaps relay prob? Seems odd that high beam still ok tho. Any help appreciated.

Check the battery terminals and the starter terminals and if that's ok then it's probably the starter contacts. A common problem with the Toyota contacts is one wears quicker than the other so all you get is a click, click, click. So is it possible to tear one out of an 80 series cruiser? My old mans has two buttons on the dash, both operating the up and down movements of the antenna. i just suspected there would be a relay that when it receives power it would extend or retract depending on which polarity was energised. im probably barking up the wrong tree here Cheers, Mick _________________ 94 Hilux Surf, 2 Door, ...

It will most likely be an insulator, and if so will be the cause of your fuse blowing. Order one from Toyota. Trying to bodge something else into the task will likely fail.
