QUOTE (Chapmag @ Nov 30 2009, 08:41 AM) Hi again Saphire, Just looked it up and you can get Map Updates for the life of the Garmin Nuvi 760 for a one off payment of £105.99. G. Thank you G, its one worth looking at, I have been on Garmins website checking out all the units and watching the videos so have a good idea now, how they work.

Saphire1 - Garmin are probably the longest established and most experienced in the world of GPS, not only do they do Sat Nav for autos but also for shipping and the aviation industry so do not worry about their reliability. I use their StreetPilot 7200 but they are now difficult to find BUT I understand that the later Nuvi models are also extremely good.

Yes Michelin sat navs allow you to plan a route using their Via michelin route finder site & then transfer it to your Michelin sat nav. Tom Tom units can be updated with new maps using tom tom Home plus for a small extra fee you can get quarterly new maps downloaded

I've got a Nuvi 360 and unfortunately there's no facility to transfer routes over. I had a Streetpilot before it and you could plan your route with that model. A backward step in my opinion.

Yes you can do precisely that on a tom tom, you use this programme to do it via google maps http://www.janboersma.nl/gett/index.php Then you simply copy that whole route to the tom tom, really easy. Phil.

We have both - The Wii is good all round family entertainment and can be played in groups or singular. some good games on it but is pricey. One console fits one family. Games are more expensive for this console. The DS is hand held, again some good games on it, but used mainly singular although they can connect to each other for some games. Much cheaper, but would probably want one ...

I noticed the Vodafone deal earlier this week. 50% dearer than the 3 equivalent, but as you say, the credit doesn't expire after 30 days. I tend to use around 0.5Gb on a typical month, so it'd work out marginally cheaper for me. If you were really frugal with your usage, you could stretch the 15 quid out for months. The biggest beef with Voda is 3G coverage though. It may have improved...

I thought about it at one stage till I realised you had to be on the internet at the time so realised it'd be no use if I was away in the van. I've read a few posts on different places about it and they didn't inspire me plus I'd registered my email address with a site offering it and since then I've received on average about 2-3 emails a day from them trying to persuade me to take it out ...

QUOTE (DunsterHouseLtd @ Sep 6 2009, 04:29 PM) Hi, Just a quick addition to this gadgets page to say we'll be fitting wireless reversing sensors to the back of our SE-L Specification, Stealth Caravans, as standard to make life easier when pitching. All the best, Alex a wireless camera would be even better and not cost much more!
