YESSSS....what i had to do was move the folder for M2TW to the windows explorer folder thing...not the program files set of folders

UPDATE! Part 2 I looked through the forums and found the solution to the "proper disk" problem I turned off the compatibilty mode, it worked and I played for six hors straight! But I am still getting the script errors when I start up the launcher any help would be appreciated in solving. Thank you.

I just uninstalled Age of Empires - War Chiefs. This was the uninstall screen. Spot the obvious error. Bizarre.

I am attempting to download M2:TW again, but I get to 95% and get an animations transfer error. It says something about a redundancy check. Then the whole download stops, and I have to start over.

Hi ! This is just for you all to know that as i expected, there was no message from CA to request any game saves. This means that the described bugs will certainly never be solved. On the other hand, while old releases like ETW still contain a lot of bugs, new products are announced with clear deadline release dates. How is it possible to sell a product with malfunctions and not correct them later on ...

unit labels on screen instead of...

I reached across my keyboard for something and hit some sequence of keys that I can't repeat. The cheat screen popped up for a moment, then the game seemed to reset or something and now each individual unit has the commander's name under it and the city names with the city info icons have disappeared. This makes the game almost impossible to play. How do I switch it back?

Try hitting control+T. You can toogle through the various modes by hitting it multiple times. If I remeber correctly.

What kind of account are you logged in when playing the game ? Does this account have writing rights to the folder/disc where MTW2 is installed ? Is there enough disc space left ?

UPDATE! I feel like such a dork! I have to turn off my virus protection and my firewall to get the game to almost start up. When I have turned off the protection, I am able to get to the start up screen. I click on play Medieval II Total war and a message box comes up saying to "insert the proper disk and hit okay". Well, I have disk one already in the drive. Any ideas? I am going to look in ...

Did you try Un-installing (Control Panel -> Add/Remove software) the other MTW version (Kingdoms) before you tried installing the new one ?
