I go to Glen Abbey for lessons and have been really impressed with the coaching as well as the facility.
They have at least one coach that always seems to be focussing on the short game. His name is Alf Callowhill. He is the 'short game coach' for their ELITE Jr Program and also is also the Head Coach for the mens and ladies teams at McMaster University.

I have always been able to hit long irons, probably from growing up using a 1 iron and playing courses where taking a divot would break your arm and rattle your fillings LOL result is a shallower swing with all clubs.
Play the ball off inside of front foot similar to where play 3wood. keep swing smooth and focus on solid contact with full follow through.

Man,
Basically everything you posted is false;
First thing if you have to leave for certain reasons you become a Class A affilite, you don't have to start over!
Second CPGA Pro's publish in Canada's top golf magazines no CTGF people have ever plublished in, that is why CTGF members have their own little mag which only reaches their members.
Third, once you have reached Class A ...

I used a Yes! tracy II for a few years. I picked up a scotty 2 years ago and it was the worst thing for a hack like myself. it revealed all my putting faults....and once you loose confidence putting, it's game over.
went back to my Yes! Tracy....this year, the allure of having a scotty got me to impulse buy one again....this time the transition to a new putter worked out much better....
