I was thinking to myself just how amazing the pitching is going to be in the AL East the next few years if you assume AJ, CC, Lowe and maybe even Sheets could be here. As long as you justs ignore Baltimore (and I like too :p), each team has a dynamite staff if they succeed in the off-season Jays- Halladay Lowe/Perez McGowen Litch Purcey/Cecil/Marcum/Romero Definatly some question marks in ...

The Canadian dollar has dropped back to about 85 cents U.S. -- a 15% slip from where it was in the summer. This will affect the Blue Jays' 2009 budget, no doubt about it. J.P. will have less money to spend. Here we go again.

Does it worry anyone else when we... -have player like AJ turning down 14 mill a season? -we consider players like Overbay a reasonable price at 7 mill for 15 hrs and a .270 BA To me it says this game could be on the verge of salaries getting to big for this game to handle. or, are they already to big?

How unimaginative..........we have ARod, KRod, JLo, ManRam etc. What ever happened to the likes of Yogi, Babe, Big Train, Splendid Splinter. It must be the sign of our times when there are either no characters (which there probably are.)or the writers and commentators are brain dead. Can you imagine calling Mickey Mantle.........MickMan??? (Even Joe D. was a bit lame.) Enough said. ...

Thanks for being an integral part in continuing the tradition of .500 baseball in Toronto. I know you didn't mean it though. Of course I remember the grand slam in the 13th inning. Do not hesitate to submit your job application at McDonalds, JP will join you a year later.

How great is Manny? Now that he is on a respectable team, he is one of the greatest hitters ever. It is GREAT that he referred to L.A. as "MannyWood". One of my most hated players, has become one of my most beloved. If there is nothing else of interest for you in this years playoffs, be sure that every Manny at bat will be a thing of beauty. Welcome to MannyWood. Anyone who said they wouldnt ...

Lets look at the players we may be considering, but lets do it with the FA year stats eliminated (UNLESS, those FA year stats mark the norm for the rest of that players career) AJ, 3 times in his MLB time has he pithed 200+ innings.. 2 were free agent years, the other was arbiration year. HMMMMM. Every other year he spend good chunks of the year on the DL. Shall we take the risk this trend ...

Since we are are seeing all kinds of trade and FA suggestions to upgrade the jays here is one with the Pirates. What would it take to pry Ryan Doumit away from them ? Doumit could solve a few situations for us at C and DH. He represents a good power bat and is a versatile player. He may cost us a potential starter like Purcey, maybe Accardo and a position prospect but the jays should be able to...

So we can all cry again about how a worse team than the Jays became world champions just like the Cardinals? Added to the fact that I don't particularly like the other 3 remaining teams makes the choice easier. Boston's had it too good recently as a sports town, I don't like the idea of a team in existence for 11 years winning the WS, we already have Arizona and Florida beating the Jays ...

This is pretty unlikely, but I am wondering if Seattle would consider trading him this offseason... We obviously couldn't/wouldn't give them as much as Seattle had to give up to get him from Baltimore but they may be willing to move him now before he becomes a free agent after next season. They would likely want too much for him but JP should give it a shot. Of course if we could get him ...

Now I know we really can't believe mlbtraderumors but..... seriously I like this idea, we need a power-hitting first baseman IMO. In all honesty what would it take to get Prince? Thanks, Shep. :)

Padres are looking to cut costs. Might be able to him for nothing more than a mediocre prospect because of his terrible season/pricetag. Would you do that trade considering his $6.5M price tag? Just kind of curious about him as I could go one way or the other. Thanks as always guys.

Here is my opinion. These 2 are great prospect and judging by the following... we traded micheal young for loiza. We got a great deal there trading a good prospect. how about in 2002 when the expos had 2 great prospects that everyone wanted by the name is Sizemore and Lee.. they thought it would be good to move then for Colon. how about the pirates thinking it was a good idea in 2003 to...

A HUGE bargain at todays market value. People need to stop talking about unloading his contract, he is one of the good values we have for the money. .270 to .300 15 to 20 HRs and a fantastic glove Its kinda sad to say, but for what players are going for today.. He is a great deal. agree????
