Believe it or not, but I've been meaning to change the topic's title to something a little bit more exciting, but since GWOtaku is our resident mod fan, I'd figure he might have something to say. That and the lazy bum is never on AIM when I want to talk to him!! On the topic of the writing of the series, I think Naruto is going to be one of those series' that will be a completely different experience when read all the way...

Wow. A ton happened in this issue. The first thing that surprised me, was that there was pretty much outside required reading for this issue, something the series had kept away from so far. Things like the Dove/Donna Troy thing were easily explained (or at least as well explained as they were in their own respective mini), so you weren't at a real loss by missing it, but you pretty much have to read Green Lantern #48 first. Something I...

At this point, I really think Naruto is becoming that way for Sasuke. I love Kishimoto's characters and his storytelling, but I feel he's lost some of this particular story arc.

I generally enjoyed "Rage of the Red Lanterns" and "Agent Orange", but they were too exposition-heavy, even for me. Heck, this latest issue is to, but it's more character-driven. Indeed, it's a nice callback to the "Rogue Profiles" Johns did during his tenure on The Flash and is one of the creepiest things I've read in ages. Doug Mahnke's artwork is a winner and he's perfectly suited to the ...

I still don't like that it's a DCU-wide crossover. It's gone from an interesting idea for a story to "Hey! Let's Resurrect Every Character We've Killed For Sales Over The Past Ten Years, For More Sales!" That being said, though, I did like this issue, and with the creative team involved, I'm on for at least the main mini-series. This gave you just enough to make you want to come back for more...

I really liked this. I was a tad worried, because, honestly, how many times can you tell Superman's origin story? But it was very well written, and had a lot of that fun humor that I equate with Clark being in Smallville, even as an adult. But, as I said, how many times do you need to read this? I really don't see the point of this, and if the series can't keep the quality of this first issue...

Mars had been speculated for so long that I just accepted it as being true so I'm glad they're finally going to confirm it. A few months ago when they showed some of the world map you could tell by that it was Mars and I kind of took that as the final confirmation, but this is obviously more overt since it's the characters discussing it. It remains to be seen whether they are on Mars as ...

I don't like that they're doing this, but I'm enjoying it enough to keep with it. Ironically enough, that's exactly how I felt about "Green Lantern: Rebirth," too, and if this ends up in the long run as well as GL has, then it'll all be worth it regardless. Honestly, I don't know a ton about Barry. Before my time, I guess. But the way he came off just makes me not like him. He's like a fast ...
