what i love about sundays/update

{{{Sher}}} You are so cool, do you know that? I believe that things happen for a reason too, and it has been on my mind this week. Had Hannah not broken her arm, I couldn't have had the BFing issues, and had I not had the BFing issues Ben would still be BFing. If Ben hadn't weaned, it would have been impossible for me to go be with my aunt as my uncle passed. It was hard, but also life changing and amazing. Being there for that...

thanks for the input ladies. I think i will take Ben and my sister will probably be able to handle filling in. she would basically be off the hook from 8am until 3pm that way and i think that might work on her end. here's the thing though. i haven't even told her about the situation yet so i will have to cross that bridge as well. i have one other friend/neighbor that I might be able to enlist, maybe for one night and morning. also,...

TOK and Small Houses

Well I guess I am the one with the smallest house here. We live in a 2 bedroom mobile home. It use to be owned by DH's uncle and they moved and gave it to us. We pay out 175.00 a month lot rent and our regular bills. We added onto out living room and dining room this past January and this year we will add a bedroom for our oldest James and one for the girls. If this baby turns out to be another boy then Joshua will go in with James and...

Hi Sher.? You're right, this can be tricky.? We've had to do it a couple of times.? If you could take Ben with you, that would make the schedule much easier, and be easier on him. If you don't have a trusted sitter whom the kids already know, I would probably ask your sister to take them for part of the time, then ask friends of each one to take them the rest of the time when she has to work.? Then thank them generously with a...

It sounds like such a good time, and it gave me an idea. Sher, could you ask your in-laws to come stay with the kids while you and your dh go check out where his new job would be? It sounds like the kids would have a great time and you would be comfortable leaving them with family. Your sister could lend a hand when she wasn't working. Maybe? Any way, I am glad you and your dh are talking ...

Hi!! We live in a smaller home too:-)I sympathize with you greatly! :-) I have really tried to make the "most" of the space we have. We have 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Well, we had 4 bedrooms. Since the tragic loss of our oldest son, our fourth bedroom will never be used for a bedroom again.... just can't. So we have 2 girls in one room and Jaden in his own room. Our "living" room has been ...

I can totally see your dilemma and your reason for wanting to go alone. If it were me, I'd have to pay a babysitter to stay here with the kids. My mother in law isn't in any shape to watch the kids and I wouldn't want to split them up and ask friends to watch them. Maybe you could get someone to watch the kids for the part of the day your sister works? Good luck, Sher. Hugs,

Hi Cyndi! How are you? I remember you from when I first started coming to TOK so many years ago. I am glad you stopped by. Your " Dear Santa" thing is so funny. I hope you have an excellent Thanksgiving and you come by more often. :) Hugs,

Joshua our 9 yr old has ADHD too. We have had him on Adderall 10 mg 2 times a day since the summer and he has made a complete turn around. When he is on his meds he is like himself only can concentrate and do his work. He has went from failing grades last year to all passing this year. He has all A's and B's other than math and I had trouble with that subject too. I have gotten comments from ...
