Hi Axitut. Heaven forbid we ever get like the others countries mentioned in that e mail. The point of it was simply to put forward the point that getting into Britain was a doddle compared to those other countries, and the benefits available handed out which encourages more and more to want to come here. I agree in principle with what the article is trying to get across even if its writer while claiming to work for an organization which is trying to offer fairer reporting isnt exactly acting in an unbiased way and reporting the atrocities on both sides. As for Claire Short she has some good things to say but is a bit of a loose cannon and very biased when it comes to this issue and any other on the middle east where this government is...

Gordon Brown will use his new year message to pledge to "get Britain moving forward again" and warn voters not to "wreck the recovery".
The prime minister will promise to "go for growth" and deliver "a decade of shared prosperity", while cutting the deficit in a "sensible and fair way".

Well what do you want any party to do about it, Joe? This woman was caught, otherwise there wouldn't be a story. They will try to recoup the money by going after her property.
Where the government is offering benefits for genuinely needy people, there is obviously a temptation for some to make false claims. That problem is never going to go away.

Peter Mandelson might offer an alternative to that observation! He was grateful for the financial assistance from the rich Geoffrey Robinson, in that he borrowed money for his mortgage, it is now quite plain, Mandelson is rich in his own right.
