I realized how weird that sounds AFTER I posted it. It's a memorial service, not a funeral, but there was no funeral, so the family is calling it a funeral among the family. Does that make more sense?

Wow! Y'all schedule your funerals a ways out!!! I like to use Hotwire as a bidding guide for Priceline. It normally works, but when it hasn't I just took something from Hotwire.

I receved a car that had major problems - anyone who had rented it or even driven it could hear the problems. I started driving it, had to turn around, go back to airport, get back in line, ask for another car, America tours they wanted to hear the problem....etc. etc. etc. It took me over 2 hours to get out of the place!

As travelers get ready for holiday flights, they might want to skip tucking presents into their checked suitcases this year. That's because baggage theft is on the rise. This year, Delta Air Lines Inc. baggage handlers were caught rifling through suitcases in the belly of airplanes in Hartford, Conn., pocketing laptops, cameras, iPods, GPS units, jewelry, watches and earrings... Read the whole article with hints to avoid theft here:...

The thing about Avalon is pretty much every place is a tourist trap. You're not going to find anything outstanding, but there are a few places that will at least serve quality food while not overly gouging you on the price. For breakfast, try Sally's Waffle Shop. It is on the waterfront walkway just before you get to the pier. The waffles are always good and you get your typical diner breakfast. If you like chorizo, make sure to get...

We picked up a Hertz rental car in Phoenix several years ago. It wasn't working all that well when we got it, but it got us around town. Unfortunately, the day we decided to drive to Tucson, it died about 1/2 way between the two cities. We hiked back to Pacacho (?) and made a phone call to Hertz in the post office. About an hour and a half later, Hertz came with another car for us on a flat ...

For whatever reason, it just seems like common knowledge or common sense to NOT pack anything of value in checked luggage. I know I've read, heard and seen numerous reports about theft from luggage and yet people still pack expensive things and then get upset when it disappears. But then again there a lot of people who can't make it through the TSA screening without causing the lines to back up. ...

We booked Club Bali Hai in Moorea, Tahiti for 7 Nov - Dec 5 2009, then Hawaii 5 Dec 2009 - 27 Mar 2010. Then because of our travel schedule before Tahiti we changed to take a 10 day Tahiti cruise followed by 16 Days at Club Bali Hai. We had been to Hawaii before & are here now. We had a great time in French Polynesia but you might want to consider:
Differences:

I have my work Health Insurance which I was lucky enough to have even after we were eligible for Medicare. That's the primary reason I keep it and pay the premiums. One thing to note is that most foreign hospitals and doctors require cash or at least a significant payment which you then get reimbursed for by your insurance. Since Medigap policies only suplement Medicare, I doubt they cover ...

Yes, they can be extended, but only within a six month period AFTER they expire, for $50.
Six months (flights must be taken within that time).

Call them now before u fly, especially if u are leaving the country.
It is not a DIFFERENT name, just a typo - it should not be a problem now but could be at the airport.

Of the budget airlines, I have flown only on Jet Blue and Southwest. I like them both but would definitely rank Jet Blue higher.
