RCI Lawsuit Settlement Agreement...

First I want to thank Jennie for providing her personal observation in Court about the following: On August 12, 2009 Judge Sheridan ordered that E-Mail and Post Card Notice be sent to members of the class in the RCI Weeks class action Lawsuit. You would think that the Judges order would have provided a Second Notice to all 3 Million current RCI account members and to all former RCI account members since January 1, 2000. Well forget...

Congrats! I am still waiting on my request for Myrtle Beach, but my VC did offer Williamsburg at Easter as an option. I know she is trying.

I don't know John...after reading these boards for so many years, sometimes I think you're the only one getting successful SFX exchanges!

Well, I suppose you could call me a cheerleader. I've gotten exchanges to everyplace I've asked them to get me - except Washington DC so far. I've used SFX exclusively for the last 3 years and I'm a satisfied customer. It sounds like John gets fantastic exchanges from them. I've been willing to take a lesser resort at times to get where I wanted to go. For instance, I was happy to get Villas de Santa Fe during the...

RCI Lawsuit Settlement Agreement...

Although I have done my part, I suspect that those who have, or will, will be found to be insignificant by the court . . . relative to the size of the class. As I have previously stated, I have expressed my desire that the objectors be recognized as a new class and not be excluded from seeking further relief. That is my position, that and that RCI is continuing to do what they are accused of doing, only now doing it boldly, flaunting it,...

Trading Places?

They are totally separate and different companies. Trading Places operates out of California and is a much larger company than Trading Places Maui. Trading Places seems to seems to have many of their managed resorts in the western U.S., mostly California, Oregon, Mexico, some Hawaii, but has resorts accepted in trade from all over U.S. Trading Places Maui is much a much smaller company and operates out of Maui. They have Maui Hill Resort as...

I think this is about what most people expected would come out of this. Of course, disclosure of trading power is a good thing that wasn't shared before. I wonder if this sets precedent for other exchange companies with hidden trading power formula.

I gave up even thinking about the red week exchange program when they offered me 875 points for my Galway, Ireland 3 bedroom week 32. Considering if I deposit it in RCI I can get anything in the system, I felt there was a flaw with their exchange valuation.

I would like to get an exhange for a family member to Hilton Head for a check in of April 22, or 23, 2010. She has wedding to attend and is going with her family. Would need a two bedroom and exchange via II. What do you think my changes are of getting one? I haven't put in an ongoing search yet, but thought I would in the near future, if there is a good change ...

It has definately been having issues off and on. Sunday was miserable for me but the last 2 mornings 7AM eastern +/- 30minutes hasn't been dreadful.
There are TONS of phantoms again FWIW.

According to the terms and conditions, they do not give you your deposit back nor refund the exchange fee. The relevant paragraph is 13.a.v. in the current Weeks T&C.
That doesn't mean you can't ask. In practice, they might be more lenient.

Here's what I can see. If you can't see ANYTHING at this one with your weeks, I think there's something wrong, but don't assume it's that you have a poor trader. Your deposit might not be confirmed yet, or it might be some other temporary problem. What are you looking with?
