First, a warning. The economy has gone to hell. I had two prime weeks up for rent, Bike Week in May in Myrtle Beach and July 4th week in Wisc. Dells. Neither week rented. I dropped my price several times, not rented. I advertised in multiple locations, didn’t get it rented. If you expect to rent at a certain price, you may….or may not get it rented. I have 7K points that are gone on Aug 1, and I can't think of a thing...

When I have use em or lose em points that I just can't do much with, see if a friend, family member or co-worker can use em. I usually reach out to those most unlikely to be able to take a fancy trip. It turns into a REALLY NICE THING to do for them.

my parents always told me to dream big so here it goes: I like the search by resort. I like the search by experience. How about a mixture of search by experience and points. So I can say I want beach experience from 8/7 to 8/14 and I have 10K in points. Yeah I know a real tax on the search database. W.

March in Branson or CMV?
Published (2009-07-01 13:24:00)
There's a Quiltfest in Gatlinburg in March you might look into if either of you are into that. Or if you're not into it, might be a week to avoid, since I've heard it's pretty huge. Although I'm sure it wouldn't compare to Gatlinburg in the summer - there are people who prefer Gatlinburg in March to any other time because the weather is mild and the flowers are just getting going and most things are open. Does any one know the numbers?
Published (2009-07-01 21:30:00)
I attended an update recently and the BG agent quoted the numbers to me. However, I didn't have a pen and did not get the numbers. Later, I wished I had requested the info again. I too, would like to know the numbers.

We just did our "update" at The Fountains". More like, they just wanted us to upgrade from Silver to Gold anyway we could. Gave us 3 different options, so we could start paying a little right away. We said NO. Just couldn't do it at this time... hopefully in the future we will. Anyway thats really all that was covered. Earlier in the week, we ran into one of the "salespeople" with a ...

Hi all! Last weekend we went to our first Bluegreen sales presentation at Big Cedar (our first timeshare presentation as well!). Having never really been interested in timeshares, we were both surprised by how much Bluegreen made sense to us. We both thought however that the prices were just wayyy too high, so we passed (considered the sampler, but with the limited use, we wouldn't be ...

Since all of you have so much more experience, what is the best way to rent your bluegreen timeshare? I am going to guess that going through bluegreen is not the ideal way. Any ideas and help would be most appreciated! Cathy V

The wife's spring break is in mid March. Money is a little tight, so we were thinking of driving someplace rather than flying. Two thought originally came to mind, Branson and Christmas Mountain Village. The problem is that I don't want to drive some where and just sit in the room because there is nothing to do because the sites are closed and it is too cold to see what sites are open. ...

Is it possible to own a week at two different resorts? The points with ownership at Falls Village are considerably cheaper than some, so we're wondering if we can pick up a lot of points there, but then also buy fewer points at Big Cedar and still get a priority week there (as well as one at Falls Village). I think I may just be complicating everything and am wanting more than I ...

After 4 years of waiting and countless hours of compiling and submitting owner requests, Bluegreen is about to give us online reservations. Last night's update was all about upgrading the servers and preparing the site for a new set of capabilities that will allow owners to book reservations online. We should be able to test it within a week, but as soon as tomorrow! I have seen the screen...

My wife and I have some blue/white points to burn, so we were thinking about an early November trip to Myrtle Beach for some R&R. What we are looking for is a quiet, clean resort with a good heated or indoor pool. We like to be close to things....but not too close. We are non-golfers, but like to walk the beach. Suggestions are welcomed....SeaGlass ??? Shorecrest ??? Carolina Grande ??? Thank ...

Can anyone give me any more info on the Presidential Suites at The Fountains? How many people does it sleep? # of bedrooms? How many points does it cost or can you only get them with Bonus Time? Is there any more info out there about all the presidential suites or have I overlooked it?

I just traded for a week in a 2 BR at Club La Pension for Aug. 28. (I guess we'll see what the weather brings.) I have never been to New Orleans or stayed in a Bluegreen resort before. I have stayed in mostly Wyndham's and Marriott's and have been happy each time. Can someone let me know what to expect at Club La Pension? Rooms? Proximity to things? Nearby restaurants etc? I searched ...

I was going to lose 6,000 pts, so in desperation I booked a Hot Weeks at First Fairway at Walden, in Montgomery, TX So I least now I only lost 3000 pts. But I know nothing of this area. So it will be adventure for us, hopefully to learn and have some fun. Does anyone know this area? I know Houston is dangerous, even the cops are dangerous from what I hear. So Please, if you know...
