I'm honestly surprised that we managed to go almost a full page without the domestic vs import argument/pissing contest popping up. A 1979 Corolla bears absolutely no relation to the cars being manufactured today. And according to statistics, current big 3 vehicles are no less reliable than their foreign-made competitors. It's a bit of a shock to see this. I've always viewed Saab as a reputable and quality brand. I even like the look of most of them.
I really hope someone picks it up when things get back on track. It'd be a shame to have it fade into history.
I can't really blame GM for shedding it though. It was probably a good move for them in the long run. They need to concentrate on their core.

Hooking up a hitch is really easy... just a matter of a few bolts-
potentially drilling a few holes or chopping some plastic with newer cars.
After that all you need is the electronics for lights. That might mean some
wire splicing or just plugging something in... depending on the vehicle. As
