I'm guessing that the writers have yet to determine what the Vs actually look like and how they work biologically... they are probably dropping hints and will see what works and then put it all together. I doubt that "hot blooded" vs "cold blooded" is much of a concern to them - it can all be made to work either way with just a few lines of dialog.

Modern Family 11-25-09: Fizbo
Published (2009-11-29 17:33:00)
I loved how they started the episode with the family in the ER, and then as they went back through the preceding days, there were numerous things that could have caused the injury - crossbow, zip line, moonbounce, rock wall, dangerous reptiles, etc. and then it turns out to be the arts and crafts table that caused the injury. I usually hate shows that do the whole "48 Hours Earlier" thing, but this was a perfect use of that...

I've been trying really really hard to resist buying stuff, unless it's for somebody else. I could have easily bought the Supernatural DVDs, but I'm going to wait on it. For one thing, I just don't want the sets cluttering up my shelves. I'm trying to un-clutter my life already, without adding more to it.

Amazing Race - 11/29/09 (Spoilers!)
Published (2009-11-29 23:46:00)
Yeah, I was sad to see the Globetrotters go. I was really pulling for them. They kept a sense of humor even when they knew they were probably going to lose. And I agree with the absinthe road block. I actually gasped when they said "chase the green fairy" because I knew what was coming and was kind of shocked.

I'm not sure I liked this episode that much. Things seemed to fit together too easily. Every single nazi got his ass kicked in the brawl. Tara gets a three minute counseling by Gemma and then goes all gangsta on the hospital administrator. Two finger guy just happens to show up three episodes late. I guess I'm nit picking.

Other than a supa-hawt Katee Sackhoff appearing in Howard's self-indulgent bathtub fantasies yeah it was below par.

It was enjoyable, but the Devil disappointed me. I don't know why, he just didn't seem devil-y enough, ala Ray Wise in "Reaper." And every male on the show was a caricature. (The boy-toy, the perfect shy-guy, the a-hole husband, the horny boyfriend going too far, the letch boss who doesn't give women a break. And the Devil.) Even the trappings were broad strokes. Like the Devil having a ring with...

Totally disagree... I thought it was a great episode and can't believe I have to wait 4 months to see what happens next. I sure hope the long break doesn't end up killing the series.

I haven't watched this yet-we're out of town. But you know, I'm going to be sad to see it go, too. I kind of lost interest a year or so ago, but still watched it (albeit much later than it aired.) But for a while, around season two, this was my favorite show. I didn't really realize how much I was going to miss it until a couple of episodes ago.

She's a hands on fabricator but not really a "show" type person but will be a fine fill in for now.
The fabrication quality will go up while she is on there tho.

Dave Mordal's "Wreckreation Nation" covered this <ahem> "sport" earlier this year, and I recognized much of its footage for the pre-show "Road to Punkin' Chunkin'."
The latter show especially portrays just how hard core some of them are, and the time and money they're willing to pour into their creations. I actually enjoyed that more than the actual competition itself. You do have to ...
