Kellymac530, yeah great ride Mt. Lemmon, just need a bike to do it with. The little DR could be fun on the way down, but probably won't have the power to hold much speed going up... Can ya spare a couple hundred cc's?? :-))

I'm not really sure what to tell you. When I began to supermoto my YZ250 2t, it was set up for flat track and had the stock brake caliper and rotor installed.......just to see how it would work. I had the rotor well blued by mid day, so it was clear that the rotor wasn't to task. Long story short, I ended up w/ a Braking 4 pot and 320mm rotor on the 19" front, and I began to get a considerable amount of twist but nothing...

wow sounds like you have addressed many of the possibilities like centering and spacing. other than just flex im not sure what other suggestions i have. btw i love the ride to mt lemmon, i worked in tuscon for 3 months in spring '03on the casino del sol expansion and would ride my harley up to the village every week or so. {no need to harass me about my harley everyone...its long gone, burned out on that whole scene} but i loved that ride

Remove all Advertisements Just bought the KTM 560smr 07. Not sure the valving and ground clearance will be good enough for off road after I install my off road wheels and tires. Looking for someone willing to swap off-road forks and rear shock for the SM. Also need the front master cylinder and caliper with a swap. My bike is almost new with only 800 miles. So im looking for some replacement parts that are in good shape with little use. Lead...

Remove all Advertisements You might try an old trick that I was taught when I worked in a shop. With the front end in the air, loosen the axle pinch bolts, and axle nut to where it is loose, but not completely without slight tension, and spin the front wheel fast by hand. With the wheel spinning, lock the wheel quickly with the brake. This seems to allow everything to self align around the brake system. Tighten everthing down with the brake...

The starting issue is that it's not getting enough gas to start it at the colder temperature. Try using the same method, but give the throttle 2 or 3 more twists at first and as soon as it catches modulate the throttle until it stays running on it's own. The thing with the clutch is most likely the plates are just sticking together because it's sat around for a while ... and it's cold and ...

It depends. Street? Race? Parking lot mayhem? Expect to spend (at minimum) $1000 for wheels and tires if you shop smart. Then, sprockets, suspension work (if warranted), catch cans, axle sliders, peg sliders. Reroute the breather if you are running on a big track (road course with long straights) to prevent oil from being pumped straight out of the engine. Lots of little stuff, but not too bad ...

Remove all Advertisements Hi All, This is my first post after lurking around reading all your posts, great site. As you can see I have a 2007 crf450r, I am currently getting the bike registered for road use in Scotland and was wondering if there are any standard Honda wheels that would fit the bike? I am currently looking at fitting either ...
