The race of a lifetime? - Page 2...

The other one I was thinking about is the Barstow to Vegas desert race. When my dad raced it back in the 70's you only had about a 50/50 chance of finishing it. It defines what desert racing is all about. Out of the 4 times he raced it, he only finished 1 time. So he was a little below the chances!

One of my technicians play it all the time. It would be cool if you can infect a farm with a weevil or some sort of root rot or something. How about Mad Cow? Spray insecticides, herbicides, DDT...maybe someone can come up with aerial spraying too. What about fires, dustbowls....someone needs to start some Farmville viruses!

Fox vs HJC Sizing
Published (2009-11-24 10:46:00)
I wear XL in both HJC and Fox V3 (and Bell Moto-8 for that matter). They all fit, but they fit differently. I had a cheap HJC that fit well. Then I bought a V3 because I got a really good deal on it. The V3 made the goggles ride slightly high. It was a little annoying, but not enough to stop from using it. Then I got a good deal on the HJC carbon-fiber helmet. I use that the most, but the visors break easily. Most recently I bought a Bell...

ways to filter your fuel - Page...
Published (2009-11-24 14:52:00)
what I am being told is there is some sort of lint in fuel already and that is what has been clogging up the filter on the pump in the bikes gas tank (09crf450). Once glogged performance suffers and flame outs, staling, sputtering on rapid excell, all the stuff one would expect from a plugged fuel filter. It is not a replacable filter so it makes sense to clean the pump gas before it goes into the tank. It's not dirt and such I was...

I would go with heating the dent while the pipe is aired up and under pressure.Get some rubber stoppers and a schrader valve on one and fill to around 20 psi maybe.Just wear some safety glasses and don't stand in front of a plug.Rubber bullet big time if it lets go.For the freeze method fill the pipe then measure the volume then subtract 10% for expansion.I prefer the heat method....

Buy a good quality cooler (e.g, Rubbermaid) and, yes, you pack it inside the cooler. My engine didn't come in a box, just had a label on the cooler and it was well taped. Also, make sure to pack it well inside the cooler. I've found that Fedex is cheaper and usually quicker than UPS, so you may want to give them a try.

I've got a red one mounted on my woods CR250 and I completely agree. It's held up for hours under the same stress I put under Renthal sprockets and I can't see a difference whatsoever.

Are you talking about only 08/09 TXC250s as well? Those are still the "big motor" 250. It's essentially the 450/510 motor with a shorter stroke and smaller bore. I'd take a KTM over that particular bike. If you're talking the new X-light 250 TXC that isn't on sale yet (the TC250 is here though) then I'd say give the Husky a serious look. Either way, both will be fun.
