you need to have a dial indicator with a long plunger.you put the tip directly on the shim bucket perpendicular. you used your positive piston stop to find true tdc on the degree wheel already? are these the cams you got from me? if so they are already degreed.

If it's shifting normally besides neutral... you need to pull the clutch side cover off (the right side) to get a look at the indexer. You will need a new gasket for the cover before you start since the cooling water passes through it. You don't want to try to reuse it, and have water leak into your oil. Only thing I can think of is that the spring in the roller broke, and it's not putting enough pressure on the indexer to find...

Couple of options, you can lean the bike all the way over on its side or find a rock or log to put it up on like a stand. I think the log is the easiest but you have to make due with your surroundings. Make sure you have the tools and I would at least make sure you take each wheel off at home with the tools you carry so you have the confidence prior to doing it in the field. Remember, it will ...

Which DRZ S/SM/E and what year? That will tell which way to go. The best gains are typically carb and pipe though assuming you have an S/SM. Go to the stock carb if an older E and forget cams, go with a pipe. But back to the first question.....

I just took a quick look and didn't see it for $11 but I am getting ready for work and may have missed it in my haste. I did spot this and it raised my eyebrow. An auto cam chain adjuster fix. Are they joking? Extend the auto adjuster? More reliable than a manual adjuster? There aught to be a law.

No problem! I have a 2001 S, weigh about 200lbs and have taken several trips with camping gear and such. No problem for the bike but you will probably get serious monkey butt after about 150 miles in the saddle unless you get a wider, softer seat or stand up A LOT!
