i wasnt sure if it was that or dirt bag,.. close either way. here in so cal most of the jeep guys are pretty cool, most do the jeep wave thing, when we ass another jeep we give the wave like boats or harley guys... my daughter loves it she thinks it cool

Yes. Sorry. I was referring to the mid pipe cover that would protect your pants/boots from pipe. Just before the muffler .

My brother has a 250 on road bike and his would also wobble and get squirly at high speads. Brought it to a wheels and tire shop had them balance it out and put some whieghts on it. It helped a hell of alot. A stabalizer would make it even better. But the cheaper way would just be to balance your wheels

Took my trusty 08 530 out in the woods for a therapy ride ,got it real dirty and the snow is coming, a little ice on the roads,stil had fun alone and free

It's amazing that there is so many new 530's out there with this problem. My 530 is in the shop for the third time and they cannot figure out why this is happening, other than it's transfering from one side to the other. They have replaced all the seals in the motor and it's still the same. Next up is a new motor from KTM that will be put in next week.

These work pretty well in soft and loose terrain. My buddy on a 525EXC used them when we were in MI (sand, sand and more sand) in Sep, he was very happy with them. Guessing it is about a 2000 mile trip, I wouldn't hesitate to do it on my 525.
I'm 100% confident that
1. my valves wouldn't need looking at during the trip
2. new filters at the start would be fine throughout
3. a maximum of 3 oil changes would suffice.
I'm basing this upon having ridden rental excs in Turkey and gone months between valve checks / filter replacement ...

Over heating. Jetting is the first thing to get right. Contact JD Jetting and get their suggestions.
OEM fan can and will kill the battery because you have not corrected the real problem. There are things you can do to help but you need to get the bike so it will only over heat in extreme conditions. Anyway. The stock stator does not have enough output to keep up with the OEM fan. You...

I have an 09 450EXC-R and i have had no over heating problems. But, a friend of mine has one to and he put a fan on his just to keep things running a little cooler. . .

I suggest that you
* clean both oil screens at next oil change
* purchase a proper sump guard plate ( that comes up a bit each side to protect the casings )
* purchase case/clutch saver
* put anti- puncture slime in both tubes
* remount ( or remove ) the horn away from the radiator
* remove the metal surrounding the rubber chain guide block near rear sprocket ( metal braket is not needed...

I talked to the guy with the KTM. His name Kreig. Sounds like he's taken good care of it and had some recent work done at the KTM dealer up North.
Good shop. I've used them before and they will reccomend anything that needs attention while it in the shop without ripping you off.
Of course ride before you buy.
I'd really suprised if you could get a plate for the WR.

No, I've never seen templates made for them. I would probably find a good image of the graphics, along with the dimensions, and trace it in adobe illustrator.

well i installed a rekluse clutch and i wanted easier access to it. As you all know the 06' came with a one piece clutch cover and I wanted to see if the cover off a polaris outlaw would work. it does, i got the cover from an 07 525 outlaw because the color is still silver i believe for the 08 outlaw the color changed...
