Last night I attended Christian Music Day at Carowinds here in Charlotte featuring Leeland, Family Force 5, Skillet, and Casting Crowns. The opening band, however, was called Newworldson. I don't know if anyone here has heard of them, but WHOA...these guys are bonkers...in a good way. If you like old-school soul, funk, and blues, I think you'll love them. Their performances are nothing but ...

It is sad, but official. Straight from myspace if you haven't already seen it. Longtime Pillar bassist Michael "Kalel" Wittig has announced his departure from the band along with drummer Lester Estelle. Below is a good portion of the announcement in his own words to dispel any potential rumors or misquotes... "Hello everybody. First off I just want you all to know that I love you and ...

Downloaded it free because a friend referred it to me. I had to refer it to five friends. You know the routine... https://www.noisetrade.com/index.aspx# The title track is a bit different from what I've come to expect. Have not listened to the whole thing yet. Good news! PJ is leading worship for AtF(Acquire the Fire) next year.

CD and/or DVD It comes out 10/20. You can preorder and have access to Comatose Monday 9/22. Does this mean the song or the hold album? The sales company is the same one used by P.O.D. - Skyroo - so I've dealt with them once before and had good luck. http://skillet.skyroo.com/se/view/music/index.html

For any of you that like Christian hard rock, I would recommend Since October. Check out their purevolume website that has streaming clips of several songs: http://www.purevolume.com/sinceoctober Don't be a puddin'-pop, check them out! They also have a video out for their song Disaster. I saw it on Steelroots, which is where I first heard them. They have the full video on...

I could've sworn I saw a couple of this group's fans on this board before! I've been getting into their music as of late and I'm really enjoying. They're a great, multi-genre, energetic worship band that truly loves praising the Lord Their CD "Live From Another Level" is off the hook, I like working out to it...and I can seriously jam out to "You are Good" on repeat for a good 20 ...

I know there's a sticky thread for "your FAVORITE movie", but since you can really only contribute to that one once, I'm borrowing from a lively thread from another board that just keeps going and going and going, much like the Energizer Bunny... Plus this will give Emmo her Amazing Grace thread back. Here be a place to list/discuss the most recent movie/DVD/video you've seen....

Has anyone heard about this movie coming out soon? It seems to be a mockery of Christianity. Here's a quote from Wikipedia; "Religulous is a film directed by Larry Charles and starring American political comedian Bill Maher, host of Real Time With Bill Maher on HBO. According to Maher, the title of the film is a portmanteau derived from the words "religion" and "ridiculous," implying the ...
