I think I was just hit by a ton of bricks.....I am suddenly scared shitless of this surgery. It is kinda like I am deciding to go ahead and get divorced from my one true love. I am going to be alone, broke and busted. I have not really been afraid before now. I am sort of afraid of dying. I am afraid of complications. I am afraid of not being able to turn to food whenever I am feeling stressed, bummed out, happy, sad, hungry....whatever....

I think it's normal. I felt pretty confident of my decision, but I did have some last-minute doubts. I just kept reminding myself of why I'd made the decision to have the surgery in the first place, and thinking of all the good things that were going to come from it. Kelly

I think those are great questions to be asking yourself. I have a good answer for you too. You feel full. The fact that you feel like you are satisfied is what helped me lose the weight. And being held accountable. If I eat sugar, I dump. If I eat too much, I puke. So on and so on. Yes, you will still struggle but it is easier to maintain because you don't eat as much. But I do have to work hard not to graze all day. This surgery is a...

Kelly, I dont blame you for being hurt and pissed. Does he really not THINK? I mean, seriously? First of all---it should be you or his daughter--totally NOT his brother. Why are men so stupid? How long have you been together? Do you plan on marrying him? What is his job? Sorry--but I am pissed for you. Go kick his butt. Where are you in ohio, anyway?

At first I was like that too but it got better as you heal and swelling goes down internally. My entire 2nd month I *hated* food so much that I hardly ate anything and my weight loss tanked so try to find softer protein for now, you can come back to meat and try again later and it might work for you.

I actually already had a Will, but I made a Living Will and a Durable Power of Attorney. Really, I think everyone should have those things anyway, and I'd been meaning to do it for a long time but just hadn't gotten around to it. But I did take care of it before surgery. Kelly

I basically fee the same way. I just got approval last week and I keep thinking about dying. I think it's just natural for us to feel this way. This surgery is a major life change. I hope you start to feel less stressed soon.

Hey Laura, know this is a very common feeling, and often will last for a while... people think they're being supportive or helpful or whatever not realizing how it can make us feel.. I think that annoyance factor passes but it takes a while. Just know you're not alone in that feeling.. {{hugs}}

I am on clear liquids and I swear I am trying to convince myself that cheese is a liquid. I want cheese so bad I can't stand it. My stomach is not hungry so I know this is head hunger. If I told my Dr I ate some cheese in the two week phase he would probably kick my butt. Yet, I still want some. This too shall pass??

The weight will come off. You won't be the first and only person to have this surgery and only lose 12lbs so be patient. Although I didn't monitor my blood pressure, I was tired and dizzy too after surgery. Your body just went through major surgery, take it easy and be patient. I know how exciting it is to finally be on the other side and you want to lose NOW but it will happen.......

Don't worry Stacie, it happens to the best of us! My hubbie all 6'4" of him weighed much less than me on my surgery date. It took me almost a month to get near what he weighs! He can eat anything, and not gain, so yeah, I get it! LOL! Hang in there. BTW, anything ever turn out of the riding academy leads I gave you?

I honestly think you shouldn't. Only because he was biased that way towards you, and you will always feel that hanging over your head. There are plenty of hottie man fishes in the sea sister..you deserve someone who will not only love you for who YOU are, but he will also respect you...no matter what size you are. You will always worry about this guy judging ya. That is my pretty penny...

I know I've posted this several times lately, but this would be good for you to read right now.. to see it's not at all hopeless. Also, if you want to read more about stalls, go to the advanced search and do a search on 'Stalls'.. I've tagged quite a few posts dealing with stalls... there is a famous 3 week stall that hits a lot of us. Frustrated and Depressed..

Having a hard time understanding why you don't want to tell anyone that you would rather do it alone. I was fine at home and didn't need any help but I had a rather easy time of it but to hire a stranger?

Whew. That's a lot to be dealing with. Take a long, deep breath and know that you can get through it. Just do the best you can each day to work on your problems. If you can better manage the stress, the rest will be a lot easier.
