Your /Volumes folder should contain no folders at all. In your case, it looks like your directory structure is severely corrupted. I would first run DiskWarrior on the drive to rebuild the structure. Once that's complete, use Finder's Go menu -> Go to Folder… to get to "/Volumes" and delete any folders that remain there. Leave any aliases alone. They belong there.

I think you will need to mount the disk in writable mode after doing the 'fsck' recommended by Trevor above. You do this with the following command: /sbin/mount -uw /

LCC Scroll Enhancer Loader is installed with LCC (Logitech Control Center) when you installed a driver for your Logitech keyboard or mouse. It has been traced to many many problems, and is NOT necessary for your Logitech keyboard or mouse, or even for LCC. Both will continue to work without it. I would strongly urge you to delete all traces of LCC Scroll Enhancer Loader from your hard drive, whether or not it turns out to be the culprit here....

I use Chronosync to sync two Macs with the same user account name. Not a problem. 10.6. You should look at the crash logs to see the reason for the crash.

Well I built a PC for windows apps and gaming, so that is what I did. I ended up getting a GTX 260 video card, and I run all games on the highest settings at the highest resolution. Giving Dragonage Origins a run on my PC now as we speak. I've flashed a few PC cards in my time for Macs, and for the most part they have worked out rather well. Haven't done it in a while and it requires a PC to do it, plus you have to have two video...

What InputManagers do you have installed? Look in /Library/InputManagers (and maybe, I'm not sure, in /Users/ YourUsername /Library/InputManagers).

Mac OS X, in modern computers is capable of " Hibernation," but I know of no utilities that will allow bypassing normal recovery. I believe this is done from firmware/nvram and does not rely on the EFI loader.

It means that the SUID setting is different than what it thinks it should have, but it did not do anything with it. You can usually ignore the SUID messages - see http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1448

I have four Macs. All have the same Account names and passwords. No problem. It is important that all of them have unique Computer names in the Sharing preference pane. I'm still experimenting with Chronosync, so I can't really offer advice on it, but I can't see how this setup would be a problem. It does simplify local networking tremendously though.

Recently, as of Leopard, Apple changed the way updates are installed. Instead of installing the updates, restarting and then cleanup during startup, it now requests the Restart before installing, install and cleanup after logging out and then follow through with the Restart. I don't know how this would effect your Applescript though.

I've just discoverd some things:
In Disk Utility the image information at the bottom of the window says: Partition Map Scheme: No partition map
Why is that? Here i have to notice that my drive is MBR partitioned
And since i cant mount the image (propably because it cant find any partitions in it) i did the following:

Was the drive formatted using GUID? If not, you have no EFI partition. There are detailed procedures on the OSX86 Project for building a multi-boot system. BTW: Neither MacOS nor Ubuntu require a Swap partition any longer. It's a much simpler process to let them handle this the new way.

Instead of dragging the frames to the desktop, why not just pause the movie and do a screen capture of the video?

Hmmm. I think the screen's dead. I heard the drive waking up but the screen's black.

First, backup your original Quicktime Player 7 by right clicking it and selecting "Compress." Now, right click the QuickTime 7 Player to Show Package Contents. Navigate to Contents -> info.plist and open it. Locate the entry for "Bundle creator OS type code and change the 'TVOD' to something else (IE: 'TVO7').
Now, you need to force OS X to see the new code. Option drag the application to ...

If you can get a hold of DiskWarrior it can try to rebuild the file system on that drive.
Also, once you get it up and running look at software update. Apple just released an update that messes with the firmware of hard drives that solves some sort of performance issue. I have seen so many hard drive issues at my work with Macbooks. I know there is definitely an issue with a lot of Apple ...

The file's proper location is: /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple .PowerManagement. plist
If it's not there, try checking with Terminal:
Code:
ls -a /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
