Well, as I mentioned I have pretty-much identical hardware to you, and my PowerBook G4 Aluminum 1 GHz ran faster under Tiger than it did under Panther. Trevor

Simple solution is to buy another HD for the G4, install OS10.4 on it and leave it there. Hard Drives are the cheapest they have ever been. Leave the other in the G3. Why you keep changing the HD between two computers is completely beyond me. ????? Stewie

The thing is the hard drive in question is back in the G3 which I am using right now and have been since this has all taken place with no problem. I ran FSCK when I put it back in and it zipped right thru it. No problems found.

trevor OK and it may be that Tiger is just more OS than Panther and is slower because of it. It actually ran quicker once I ran the Annihilator programs. They were the pre-memory adjustments.

Should have looked up the tech specs before that last post. You're right, Delta Mac, the iMac is LCD, so it looks as if the sales manager at the Apple shop doesn't know what he's selling. Not that I asked about this beforehand, as I didn't know I had a LCD problem. Under the Applications/Utilities folder I don't have a progam "Printer Setup Utility". I do on my G4 Mac running Tiger. Is their any other method to reset it? ----- As of saving the .txt files, dont get an error message, just the beach ball, so i have to force quit. ----- I haven't messed with anything in or on the home folder, or anything related to the low-level system user info. So I just replaced my MacBook's 60GB HD w/ a 250GB HD. Installed Leopard, migrated everything, worked fine for about a week. Then I was using my Mac to install Ubuntu on a flash drive over the weekend for another laptop, and all of a sudden I cannot boot from my internal HD. I can boot from my old HD (which is now in an external enclosure) and I can see the contents of my internal HD. S.M.A....

Intuos3, MacPro 2.8 (quad) 12gb ram, 10.5.5 My Wacom intuos 3 works fine until I remove the pen to type something. When I place the pen back over the tablet the cursor should appear in that spot immediately. It doesn't. Or you can buy a cheap 2.5" to 3.5" IDE adapter ( $3.00 ) and install Jaguar on the Wallstreets hard drive connected to your desktop then bung it straight into your Wallstreet. If you don't want OS9 on it anyway. Stewie

Hello, I am setting up a client to print to a shared printer on a Windows 2003 Server. The setup works and the client can print except for the fact that around 10-15 copies of a page are printed for even a single page. The client, of course, just prints one page. Is there a particular reason for this and how can I change this? Thank you for your time. Regards, Chris K.

I've had my imac G5 for going on 3 years now. I'm not sure how, but I think I must have somehow uninstalled my Matshita UJ-846 Recorder. Is there any way to get it back? I can no longer burn cds or anything, it says driver not found.

I turned off my Mac OSZ Tiger one day and now when I try to turn it on it just shows the grey apple screen then gets realy loud and turns off. It use to get to a blank blue screen and then stay like that for hours so I'd turn it off and try again. I put the disk it came with in and tried to do CTRL + C to reset it so it was in factory condition but nothing happens. What should I do?

How long should you have to hold the "C" key down. I tried it for 5 min. and still nothing. When I put the Install CD in and restart with the key down it ejects the CD also. Reinserting it does no good at all, or so it seems. What am I missing here. ...

actually more of a discoloring and it's temporary...whenever the pismo is either awakened from sleep mode, or if I simply turn the screen brightness all the way off.. there is, for a moment or two, some pink and blue tinges to areas of the screen..lower left, left-middle.
