Google explicity mention 100 as a user-friendly maximum. There is a ton of other useful stuff in their webmaster guidelines as well, that answer a lot of the obvious questions.

Much more updating soon but wanted to share this quick tip before rushing off to Saturday night dinner. Generous Warrior Carl Ringwall shared this with me so kudos to you Carl. One Web 2.0 site that Google particularly loves is this one: News, Magazines, Newspapers, Journals, Reference Articles and Classic Books - Free Online Library Carl showed me a site of his that was ranking very highly without any backlinks! the rumor is long term domain registrations are good for SEO , shows you aren't a spammer... I don't think anybody has a definitive answer on how true this is or how much of a difference it makes.

There are lots more feeds than just your main site URL: (1) create web 2.0/blog page on hubpages/blogspot, etc., which links back to your main site, and submit that feed, and ram that through rss bot. (2) create a new RSS feed for your main site URL using feedage's html2rss converter, and ram that through rss bot. (3) bulk convert your backlinks that are not as easily found by the search engines (profile backlinks especially) using the...

Hello chinweike
Maybe this will help you
"There will be some occassions in which webmaster of a site needs to stop search engines to crawl their web site.

* Data that they dont want to be indexed in search engine results.

I've also experienced this. I think it has to do with the fact that the blog is being updated. I pruned a bunch of pictures out of my blog posts to make them smaller, but otherwise left them the same. My hits went up for a short while, but then dropped back down to normal.
My guess is that the blog gets put on some "recently updated" list and people see it. Then it goes off the ...

The primary SEO difference between the two is that a post is pinged while a page isn't unless you use a plugin to do it or do it manually. Other than that, there isn't any difference SEO -wise.
From a WordPress management perspective, most plugins and themes are designed to work with posts, not pages, and may limit your options in other ways.

This belongs on the SEO section - Your question has been answered many times over though... No follow and do follow mean nothing. Many sites are no follow but it does not effect rankings or possible sales. Free Articles Directory | Submit Articles - ArticlesBase.com - great example, it is no follow but yet many benefit greatly from the site.

Hey CB,
Firstly thanks very much for doing this.
I will fire off the first question.
Can you list exactly your criteria for finding a keyword phrase. Point by point.
Cheers mate

I am sorry but I disagree. Considering the same amount of SEO effort done ( backlinks, proper tagging, etc), I have ALWAYS found better rankings for my domains when I squeeze my main keyword into the domain name. Every single time.

Congratulations, that is quite a feat.
What exactly did you do to get indexed as quickly as you did?
Just some simple article back linking/social bookmarking?
I am also following the click bump thread.
However, I am still waiting for my first site to index (has been exactly a week).

As i suspected no answer.
It seems this forum is full of the same threads over and over again but nobody speaks about rss, something which is potentially more powerful than any of the link building methods people speak about here

Regarding buying links....I'd suggest being very careful doing that becasue you could get caught up in a bad neighborhoods. If by any chance you get associated with a online neighborhood like that then their bad reputation can rub off on you. Then you can get penalized.
I'd also suggest paying close attention to what Jay284 said above.
