You are missing a HUGE point in my argument.   CLASSIC GAMING ENTHUSIASTS...People that enjoy the classics tend to adore what the Nintendo did with it's SNES lineup.
I beg to differ - my posse are all NES fans - a least compared to the SNES....
Nintendo has never been a huge publisher of arcade style games.  They have arcade roots, but they've...

The SNES has a strong arcade line up, not only with shoot them up and brawlers, it features some of the best 2D fighters ever made. You won't find many games like this on the NES, the same way you won't find too many arcade oldies on the SNES. Still... there was a SNES Space Invaders game, but you get the point -I guess- the SNES, like the Genesis, was meant for arcade ports of its own time.

I have to go with Steer on that one. Part of why I love the Wii is because it is the most arcadey Nintendo has been in some time. On a side note, I would love to see Nintendo go all Excitebike Wiiware on Donkey Kong and release an updated sequel to the original! I know it won't happen, but a guy can dream!

I'm don't know if I would classify Wii Sports/Resort and Wii Play as arcade titles.  The rest are fine, but overall I don't get this overwhelming sense that Nintendo is trying to make arcade games.  The Wii library as a whole does include quite a few arcade titles (certainly more than the other two systems retail releases), but Nintendo published Wii games are too diverse to say they strictly have an...

For a lover of Metroid I remember buying Prime 1. Played it for about an hour or so and put it on Ebay loosing 10 bucks out of my pocket for a horrible "new way" of playing Metroid. I made the same mistake buying the one on the Wii I hoped they worked out the horrible things I saw in reviews and found it to be nothing short of a typical Wolf 3d clone with Metroid skins and weapons.  I saw and have yet to see the benefits of...

INCREDIBLE HULK/GENESIS
Published (2009-12-17 01:55:00)
Oh, come on... not all Hulk comics are bad. If you are ever hankerin' for a game that really feels like you are controlling the power and fury of the Hulk, try Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction for the Xbox, Gamecube, or Ps2.  It's very fun and the graphics were pretty nice for the time.  I'd LOVE to see a sequel from the same development team on the current gen systems.

I don't understand how you can say N64 had no support, that's a lie. It didn't have PlayStation support but it still had a good amount. You claim it was just Rare and THQ but in truth you forget LucasArts put out more Star Wars games for 64 you forget Midway did Quake,Doom, and Crusin' USA,and foulest of all you forgot that Enix actually did make some games [namely Mischeif Makers] and last I checked EA went crazy with...

With the N64, Nintendo placed a large amount of their attention on how a game controlled and, oftentimes, they failed. Say what? Analog stick? 2 position controller? Mario 64? Pilotwings 64? Star Fox 64? Ocarina of Time? Any of this ring a bell? ; ) N64 was not great, but it was WAY better than PS1. Unles you like RPG's.

Its too bad your wolfenstein game is broken, because it is a solid B title. Its a really fun shooter, and it only gets more fun later in the game as you upgrade all your weapons. Is there something wrong with your disc or PS3? Yeah its graphics may not be the best, but that doesn't really matter if the game is fun.

I actually grew up playing this game, and it is awesome! The option of a save feature is an excellent idea, and the upgraded graphics are a nice touch. To bad that Nintendo never realesed it for the Wii Virtual Console, probably because Nintendo wants customers to buy the NES marios separatly, because this entire compilation would only go for 800 Wii points, although they could just raise the ...

Namco has got to stop putting Pole Position games on all their collections if they're not going to fix the controls *hugs his Namco TV Games 2 Plug-and-play with the only good port of Pole Position ever made*

A simplistic but enjoyable 3-D platformer, Pac-Man World 2 was well worth the 7$ i spent to get it months ago and i'm sure many other people lucky enough to stumble across it will too. As i said, the gameplay is a simple 3-D platformer, but rather than placing Pac-Man in a large, open world littered with a billion doodads to collect, he's placed in a...rather linear, smaller world with a billion...

Jake, You make some interesting observations! Maybe I was reviewing with rosy-colored glasses, since I used to play it every Thanksgiving against my cousin. I'll give it another try and update the review if necessary. Dave
