The audio distortion that was common in past versions and which was corrected in the last two versions has returned in VLC 0.9.6 on my machine. Any ideas how this can be corrected?

Video window disappears after I get out of FullScreen. When i enter fullscreen the video is fine. but when i exit out of full screen it minimizes to the right size window then disappears. Whats the deal?

my VLC can't play any xvid files without stuttering audio. video seems to play fine, audio stutters every 2 seconds or so. i've tried version 0.8.6c, 0.8.6e, 0.8.6h, and the newest 0.9.6 all have the same result. i cleared the VLC preferences and rebooted after trying each and deleting. i got Quicktime to play the xvids fine now, both xvid and HD mov files. i've been researching and trying ...

I have been using Mac's since 1978. VLC is a good program, but after updating from 9.4 to 9.5 (and today 9.6) there is no video, just audio playback. Yes, I have an older G3, 700 mhz iMac, but 9.4 VLC played back very well. I use Mac OS 10.4.11 and have I gig of Ram. How can I go back and get VLC 9.4 version? OR can the developers of VLC explain why with 9.5 and 9.6, there is no video playback (...

I'd love to be able to use VLC to play the backing tracks for songs we play in my band. What I want to be able to do is have all the tracks in a playlist in order, and then have each one play when we hit a hotkey (like spacebar) and then play all the way through and then move to the next track in the playlist without starting to play it, much like the 'autocue' function on many professional CDJ ...

When I attempt to open a URL (for example: http://www.happy.com ) to record/save a streaming file, it asks for the username and password. However I don't know how to do it.
