I am resurrecting my plan to walk virtually from Lands End to John O'Groats following the route here http://www.landsendjohnogroats.info/route/index.html The plan is that I wear my pedometer every day and log the miles I walk. I can read the route as far as the distance I have travelled and can look around the local area via google etc. I log on here to let you all know how I am doing. Ok, I admit that I've been quiet this month. Things are well (well almost) here. Christmas went well. The Boxing day BBQ in the snow with all my family went well (though we had to rescue one car and another never made it). it's not a new decade until 2011, is it? Brings back to mind my mothers one woman campain to correct people in thier belief that 2000 was the start of the new century! She had stickers and all sorts .... Mind you she is also a member of the British Weights and Measures Society (or something). Well, I better get the bottle at the ready and Slainte Mhath , to you all, for when the time comes ! Not that I have started to drink you (hic)...

My goals: - cook lots of new things this month - make Xmas food even better this year - not get grumpy when kids are vague about whether they will be around for meals but have lots of good stuff around that they can help themselves to whenever Things are going to be a bit easier this year as we aren't having our usual pre-Christmas drinks party :( Specifics: - order turkey and ham - cook ...
