This was probably the weakest episode of the season. Just really not much of a flow to it. There were a couple of funny bits, though.

BB Stores are fucked. They aren't going out of business yet but they will be very soon, within a year. No one wants to put up with them, I actually applied for a job by those fuckers months ago and they acted like they didn't have a sign up saying "Now hiring". I like the fact the one closest to me is staying open... for now... but I don't know why. The store next door even has a new "Blockbuster...

What an incredibly insightful beginning.
And for the love of God, can people please use capitalization, punctuation and other forms of basic grammar?
Rant...over.

I'm a little over halfway reading it so far. It's enjoyable and interesting and addicting, but it is also a carbon copy of Da Vinci Code with all the same story beats and twists. I dunno if that's a good or bad thing...

Great episode. The guy who plays Aaron Hotchner plays off a moving performance proving to a number of the fans that Hotchner isn't as robotic as he seems at times. Hotchner talking to his wife on the phone and listening to her getting killed makes me want to hug the guy. And when he has his final fight aganist the Reaper, I was cheering him up to kill the son of bitch for all the grief he has ...

We've got the same thing on the way to the kids' school. I went in there last week and the manager told me that Blockbuster is looked at a 10 mile circle on a map, picked the lowest performing stores and is closing them.
Within that circle there were 5 stores and 3 are getting closed.

If it's such a problem, why not make a Hip Hop Hall of Fame, and not nominate Van Halen. That'll show 'em.

Re: What is it with you?
The Princess Bride...I get the humor, normally it's the type of movie I would enjoy, but I just don't find it funny. If I had first seen it when I was about 12 maybe, but I've only seen it as an adult and it just bores me.

I think sometimes the only thing taken in these remakes is the name and the basic outline. That it is a remake does not necessarily mean it is an unoriginal film.
Although often they are, granted. But I can think of numerous fantastic remakes, and also numerous great original concepts from the last 10 years.
Also worth bearing in mind that cinema has relied VERY heavily on literature ...

I Just got done watching the AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS show..and..I am so sorry for the crap that was on that show. The only song I remotely liked was, and I am shocked, Lady Gaga's song at the piano..I don't even know what that song is called, but it was the best song of the night.
All the women, even Carrie Underwood, came off as 'whores'. And Adam Lambert? Way over the top...
So...I am ...

I still enjoy the show today but the golden years ended around Season 8/9/10, who can remember anymore. Also, the first three years or so weren't very funny and the animation was truly terrible.

Love & Monsters is great. It's not making fun of "nerds" - it's celebrating fandom as a great thing, a source of friendship and social interaction. If it's poking fun at anything, it's at a certain species of "superfan" who try to dictate what fandom should be like, what fans should think and do.
